Crafters love what they do. Harry Potter Crafters love both crafting and all things Harry Potter. Items made are always made with love but sometimes there's a special loved involved in the handcrafted item.
This thread is the place where we can share that love. Have something you crafted that was made for someone you love (partner, child, sibling, parent, etc)? Have something someone you love made 'just for you'? Have a craft that was gifted to you at a time when you needed a special shot of love? Or something you crafted because your love of Harry Potter was more than you could contain? Share the love here and spread the wonderful warm fuzzy feeling that is our fandom and the wonderful talent behind the crafts as well. I know I have many special stories about crafts made and shared with love and one in particular comes to mind from last April. As a member of HPCrafters on Yahoo, it's not unusual to find me participating in swaps with other crafters there and so it was that at this time, I had already sent my craft off to my partner and was waiting on hers. This particular morning, I had received a call from my mother telling me that my dad -- who had suffered with emphysema for ten years -- was being placed into hospice, something we knew was coming eventually and that eventually had arrived. I knew my mom and my adult children were together and they would be there for each other but that day, I was feeling rather alone 1,000 miles away until the owl arrived from my swap partner. To say I was floored when I opened the box containing my magical creature swap would be an understatement for it was more than expected. My partner knew she was 'overdoing' it shall we say but for some reason felt it was what she had to make for me. Thanks to our shared Harry Potter and Crafting Love, I had the most beautiful dragon quilt to comfort me and remind me I was not alone when I needed it the most. Not only did she use my most favorite creature of all but my favorite color of black and my favorite fabric of velvet. ![]() You can see close ups of the panels here in our Craft Gallery. Wow, I dont have a story or a craft that's nearly as impressive to share. Alas, I also dont have a digital camera (how medieval) and my scanner doesnt work so I cant scan to upload any new HP things I've made. But, a whiles ago I went through a beading phase, and although these arent specifically HP designs, I was inspired by my love of the PoA Prongs patronus to make the stag design, and my love of Hedwig (

Wow! Moose-Starr, those are impressive!!
As a Crafty Witch, I feel pretty confident saying that you should probably go through another "beading phase" someday. -------------------- Jenn |

I'm sure I wasn't the only person, when, reading Deathly Hallows, I wanted a "Mary Poppins" beaded handbag with a undetectable charm on it! So I decided to make one of my own
![]() It was made with tiny seed beads. And I made one for my best friend too!

JaneMarple9 Do you have bigger pictures, my eyes are not what they used to be? Your bags look lovely, I'd love to see the detail.
I make and sell wreaths. I have been working on a wreath with a "Beetle the Bard" theme, just for fun not for sale though. I am not done yet but will share it when I am. -------------------- Our judgements judge us, and nothing reveals us, exposes our weaknesses, more ingeniously than the attitude of pronouncing upon our fellows. - Paul Valery
