i agree. as long as there are HP fans - like me - Harry Potter will live on clap.gif besides, the story isn't something that will be forgotten easily, it's a classic and it's something that will be etched in the memories of everyone that was deeply touched by it - including me.

Harry Potter is going to sit on shelves with the likes of Enid Blyton and other popular children's authors. Its not going to be completely ignored?

I don't think Harry Potter is going to die ever...

As long as the fans stay true it will live on

Plus with new fans reading all the time it can only get bigger from here

Not to mention its one of the biggest and best selling series of our generation

Personally I think its going to go down as one of the classics (with time of course)

HP will never die as long as fans stay on being fans and others just started reading. There are also people that haven't read the books yet, and someday they will, maybe.

And yes, it is one of the bestselling series, so it's hard to erase that. Also, as long as people read fanfics about HP, and even start their own, it'll live.

I just woke up from a nap where as I sometimes am prone to do I was dreaming about the Harry Potter world. I was dreaming of the possibilities about what may have occured between the last chapter and the epilougue of the last book.

I believe there was so much left to the imagination but i also agree with some posts that Harry Potter will always be rediscovered with every new generation just as the beloved Naria stories by C.S. Lewis has been entrancing every new generartion with his fantastical stories. Once I have a child of my own i will count the moments till they get to that age where I myself can introduce them to the stories i came to love and adore.

To share with them my memories of the Barnes and nobles midnight parties, the hours spent reading the new book until i was finished, the anticipation of the next movie or the next book. Harry Potter will never die, not as long as we can re read the books re watch the movies and hope that maybe one day a light bulb will brighten in Rowlings head and she will come up with another chapter in the story that she may not have previously known existed.

For right now i anticipate the opening of the new theme park where it's location will only be an hour away from where I live. biggrin.gif I have promised my self that even though as crowded as it will most likely be i will be one of the first ones there.

Its like I was saying somewhere on this forum. Harry Potter doesn't need horcruxes as they have the fans who will never forget it. I'll always love Harry potter. Theres so much things to keep it alive that the fans do. Like charites, sports, music, products, fan fiction, fan art and much much more.

Absolutely not! This forum/website proves that their are still a countless amount of people who still love HP. Especially with the release of the DH movies comming up.
And even when it is over, the fandom will NEVER die. It's timeless.

I was thinking about something Harry said about Dumbledore in HBP,
"he will only be gone from the school when none here are loyal to him."

That's how I feel about the books in a way. Harry Potter will never die, not as long as we all remain loyal, and keep reading. :)

Just one thing before I rant. tongue.gif
My mum surely knows how to annoy me when she says that "Oh, harry's dying. All this twilight fuss is taking him over."

Basically, I am sick and tired of people saying this.

I have to say, I was a huuuugeee twilight fan as well as a huuuugeee Harry Potter fan only a year ago. However, Twilight is getting quickly very old and unlike Harry Potter, I am getting a little sick of all the fuss.

Harry Potter has already made history. I think it'll be hard to beat something like it. Just a warning when I say this, because I don't mean to insult Twilight Saga fans. Remember, I still like it to a degree and actually can't wait for Thursday when I can see New Moon. biggrin.gif However, there are clear distinctions between Stephanie Meyers and J.K.Rowlings writing. In fact, Jo shouldn't even be compared. Her writing is ah-mazing and real, so much so that because of her I write EVERYDAY on a hp roleplay site, I just love her world that much. Her characters weren't stupid, all having a clear purpose.

Unlike Meyer, Jo didn't write her story to suit her fans. She wrote, remaining true to herself which makes her even more worthier. I am sure I am not the only one who has said that "Breaking Dawn" was a bit of a flop when it came to plot and character development - rather Mary-Stu and Gary-Stu if you get what I mean. Remember I am sorry if any of you take offence to this. I know us Harry fans are also twilight fans too and I really don't mean to insult a story that you probably adore like I have before.

Anyway, as you all have said above me, Harry won't die unless no one remains loyal to him. And I am still here. I love Harry and his beautiful world. If I got nothing else out of the series except for finding my passion to write, I would be forever greatful. However, Jo's characters, places and all her creations will live with me forever.

Ana

xx
