This thread is dedicated to all those who enjoy music, rewriting songs, and filling every hour of your day with a soundtrack.
The idea began back in one of the 5 billion "Snape's Loyalty" threads with this humble beginning:

"I Don't Know How to Love Him" could be a Lily flashback (or Narcissa, depending on your views), "Horcruxes on Their Minds" sung by Harry, "Lord Voldemort's Song" (So you are the spy, you're the great double spy - prove to me that you're devine; Kill Dumbledore and we'll be fine... if you do that for me, then I'll let you go free - Come on you King of the News.), "The Severus Must Die (He is Dangerous)" sung by Bella, "Severus Snape, Superstar" sung by Harry (or Dumbledore), my personal favorite, "Trelawny's Dream," and much, much more 
Here's the rules (so to speak). This is a thread where you can create musical numbers! Rewrite songs, song titles, etc. and make them fit Harry Potter. It can be funny (as above), sappy, cute, whatever. It does not have to be from a musical. Since not every knows the same music, though, it could behoove you to mention the name, artist, and perhaps genre/origins of the song that you S.P.o.O.F. (had to write that in somehow). Many of us will be posting a lot, so just browse and catch on.
Most importantly, though - HAVE FUN!!!

This is the first filk I've ever written. It's to the tune of ABBA's song "Honey Honey", with Voldemort singing it. I wrote it originally for the broadway filkcast on PotterCast. It was kind of loosly based on a PotterCast episode where John said that Harry wasn't going to fight Voldemort because he was so full of love. I got lazy with some of the rhymes though

WOW!!!! a new Filk thread!!!.... that is so freaking awesome
alright now it is time for me to put my first post in the new thread.. with two new filks
First is a filk from "More than Words" ~ Eric Clapton Filked to "Say the Word"

She was ridding that sunday on the scarlet steem engine
First of September her first year
Leaving home and her mama and her daddy
She didnt show her fear
Then her brothers go and leave her all alone, no friends to be seen
It would be a long hard year
She had a lot on her mind and she needed an escape
So she headed to her trunk
Before she knew it she was talking to Tom and who'd have thunk
that his kind words that flashed before her eyes
Would soon start to make her cry

Hey everyone,
Well pat me on the back - I just finished my first FILK recording session and I actually figured out how to make Audacity work for me. YAY!
I recorded 3 FILKs and I'm quite happy with the results.
In this thread can we only share typed lyrics? If not here, is there a place to share our finished MP3's? I'd really love some experienced FILKers opinions/comments/etc on what I've done so far.

OMG I just read through the first thread and I haven't laughed so much in ages! I definitely going to have a go at writing one!

Okay, so I've wrote two!!! They're both truly dreadful, but oh well...
The first one's to the tune of How Soon Is Now? by the Smiths. It's being sang by Voldemort haha, here it goes
