To all fans who got the Collectors addition of Beedle did anyone notice the obvious typo on page 156. It is supposed to say "And so Death took the second brother for his own". The "And" is spelled "Tnd"!

Yeah, there are a couple things like that. There's also a place where it says "flames" twice in a row. Typos normally don't really bother me; I mean, they happen, and they don't really take away from the story itself. However, in this case I thought there were more of them than there should have been, and for a book that people are paying so much money for; they should have paid closer attention. The regular edition didn't have that many typos. =/

I didn't get the Collector's Edition, so I don't know: was it a copy of the Rowling-handwritten versions? If it is, the typos wouldn't bother me. With typed books, it would, and does, bother me. Even reading the regular series, they'll have an occasional mistake like "Professorr McGonagall" and irritates me to no end. Doesn't anyone edit these books? Even in the early stages with CoS, there's still someone who reads over it that has the job of finding these things. To me, it's unprofessional and sticks out so far as to ruin the moment/chapter for me because my eye keeps going back to it.
With Beedle the Bard, it seemed like there were way too many errors. Maybe they wanted to stick completely to Rowling's handwritten version and didn't correct them (I have no idea)? |

The Moonstone edition was handwritten, but not the collectors edition. This is something the editor should have caught, or perhaps something that the printer dropped the ball on.
