Supplies
3 skeins of Noro 100% wool in desired color
J/10 (6.0 mm) crochet hook
Tapestry needle

Instructions
Hat
Chain (ch) 61.

Single crochet (sc) 60, slip stitch (ss) together.

Sc for approximately 12 rows, or to the top of the head.

Sc 1, 5 sc in next sc (bobble made), sc 1, bobble, continue to the end of the row, ss to first sc.

Bobble, sc 1, bobble, sc 1, continue with bobbles in "windows" created by the previous row.

Sc 9 rows.

Double crochet (dc) 1 row.

Ch 4, dc in the third stitch from the hook, ch 2, dc in the fifth stitch from the beginning of the row, continue pattern.

Dc 1 row.

Sc 2, sc 2 together (sc2tog), sc 2, continue the pattern to the end of the row.

Sc 1 row.

Sc 2, sc2tog, sc 2, continue the pattern to the end of the row.

Dc 1 row.

Sc 3, bobble, sc 3, continue the pattern to the end of the row.

Seed stitch 3 rows.

Dc 3 rows

Sc 2, sc2tog, sc 2, continue the pattern to the end of the row.

Sc 1 row.

Sc 2, sc2tog, sc 2, continue to the end of the row.

Dc 1 row

*Dc 1, dc 2 together (dc2tog), dc1, continue to the end of the row.

Dc 1 row**

Continue from * to ** until the hat is the until desired length or only a few stitches are left.

Break yarn and pull the end of the yarn through all of the remaining stitches.

Tie closed.

Create a puff ball or a tassel to tie onto end.

Ears
Author's Note: All increasing and decreasing should be on the same side so as to create a curved edge.

Ch 12.

Sc 11.

Sc 11, increase 1.

Sc 12, increase 1.

Sc 13, increase 1.

Sc 12, sc2tog.

Sc 13.

Sc 11, sc2tog.

Continue decreasing one every other row until are 6 stitches remaining.

Sc2tog, sc 2, sc2tog.

Sc 3.

Sc all 3 stitches together.

Break yarn, leaving a long end to attach the ears to the hat.

Sew on ears.

Weave in loose ends.
