So, you have this wonderful project in mind, but you don't quite know HOW to do it exactly? Well, how about you post about it here and let others help you work out the details?

Hi I was wondering if anyone had the pattern (or a similar pattern) to make the hat that Ron wore in PoA - you know the one outside of the shrieking shack with the cable knit (I think) and the ear flaps and the longer plaits with bobbly bits on! If you cannot understand which one i mean let me know and I will post a pic only I would really love to knit one of those!!

After some serious searching, I found this pattern. It's not available on Leaky Crafts, but I have contacted the author to see if we can do something about that!

Thanks Jen! That pattern will certainly do but the one I was looking for is this one (not the best pic I know but I will have to try and find a better one)

I'm trying to venture into making my own set of student robes... but I have no idea of how to make them...
And the only patterns for robes are for a Madam Hootch robe........ it's a bit usefull but not as much... -------------------- Waiting for LeakyCon 09!!!!!

QUOTE(ofenjen @ Jan 4 2007, 09:52 PM) Hi, danae24, have a look at this: http://harrypotterhaven.l2p.net/downloads/robe.html. I think it will help! Thanks! I actually did saw those instructions, but I'm looking to do a hooded robe.... That pattern did help me for robe part of the robes, but I still have to figure out how to do a hood (just like the POA-GOF student robe) -------------------- Waiting for LeakyCon 09!!!!!

This is a Lord of the Rings pattern site that has wonderful costuming resources. This page is on cloaks, but I think you could use the hood pattern. If you look at the picture, it definitely looks long and pointy like the Hogwarts school robes.
