It's only been in the Video Gallery a couple of days, and has already been viewed over 10,000 times! This video is popular thumbup.gif !

Jason Isaacs on "This Morning"!

"This Morning" is a very popular morning television show and last week, Jason Isaacs appeared, (to the delight of many a stay-at-home Mum!!)

In this 6 minute video he talks at length about Lucius Malfoy, the creating of the look and that wig, filming with an imaginary Dobby, and if that doesn't appeal to you, it's worth watching for his impression of Gary Oldman lol.gif and his description of how he begged Jo to get him out of prison!

This man is a class act! Enjoy!

The thing I love most about Jason Isaacs is that he is so into being Lucius Malfoy. Like he probably would do it for free. I also thought it was fascinating how much he said he admired Gary Oldman. How awesome, even for the adults, to be surrounded by their favorite actors.

I love it at the end when he is talking about begging to Jo! Well, who wouldn’t?
I wasn't exactly a Jason fan before, I liked him but that was all but after watching that interview he does have a respect for canon doesn't he?

Yay to the Gallery girls and guys for another video clap.gif

I could listen to that man talk all day. drool.gif

He was just priceless in that interview. The stories about kicking Dobby, begging Jo to get him out of Azkaban, planes selling the cane, his Gary Oldman impression, I was in stiches the whole time.

He knows the character he is playing and I really admire that.

Oh I couldn't agree more biggrin.gif - isn't it wonderful to have an actor who just loves the role so much and makes stuff up as he goes along, (there is a word for it but it's early in the morning and my brain hasn't engaged yet!!!)

Improvizes?

Yeah I have huge respect for the actors that are so into their role. There are a couple HP actors that I've read or heard being interviewed, & I have been disappointed (to say the least), like I just feel their attitude & reaction takes the magic clean out of the whole thing, & if I feel that way then how do kids react. Okay so the actors dont necessarily have to be as obsessed as we are lol, but viewing it & describing it as just a job, especially one where they have to go around doing *stupid things* is a let-down, to me.
Like, some of the actors talk about Hogwarts as though it's real (which of course it is) wink.gif I appreciate that everyone has a different approach & attitude, but it's refreshing & enjoyable to read / hear / see an interview where the actor is obviously into his role & understands his character & feels to be a part of the magic.

thumbup.gif That's the word, cheers Moose!

Who knew that Jason Isaacs improvised the scene where Lucius kicks Dobby out of Dumbledore's office lol.gif , only someone who knew the books and the character could make up a great scene like that.

I love this interview. Jason is just so darn cool, isn't he? He just seems so into the material and really is passionate about it - he's a real fan of the books and really just seems to genuinely like it. And that wig - well, that wig is just priceless.

As could I wink.gif .
He's such a lovely man and he has so much energy in his interviews. I would love to see him interviewed along with some of the younger cast, I would be willing to bet that he'd bring out a lot more of their personality!

He's a great actor not to mention he wears that wig really well lol.gif .
