Image format: In the first of a two part interview seen on NBC’s the “Today Show,” author J.K. Rowling gave some wonderful new “Deathly Hallows”epilogue type information, where she revealed jobs and more for certain characters in the Harry Potter series. The interview was conducted in Edinburgh Castle in Scotland and featured children asking Jo a number of questions,with answers sure to please what Jo described as her obsessive fans (and she says she likes that we are obsessive!) Other comments from Jo include reflections on how hard it was to write some of the deaths and more. You can now read these most wonderful, yet VERY SPOILER filled details from Jo, here in this article that is now online. The video clip can also be viewed, here. Hermione will be high in magical law enforcement. Ha! She is a working mom that solves crimes. Harry and Ron are still working together to reform the Auror's office. Harry is with the MOM? What about Ginny and Luna? Leaky what are you going to ask since many of the questions are being answered? How about who does Harry give the map and cloak to? He has three kids and only two things? |

It was wonderful to hear her expand on the lives of the a few of the characters and their futures. Luna's seems very appropriate, and I imagine I would like her very much.
Harry and Ron overhauling the Auror department is great, but doesn't that mean there are still DE's running around trying to copy LV? Hermione "high up" in law enforcement is terrific. I always thought she would have made a terrific professor, but that would have meant she would need to stay at the school while it was in session, at least. The other professors were always there, day or night, and I imagine Hermione would choose to do something that allowed her more time with her family. I hadn't figured out that Victoire was the daughter of Bill and Fleur, but with that name, I should have. The trouble with that interview, of course, is that it was not nearly long enough and it did not give enough information about things that could have been included in the Epilogue. But every little bit is appreciated. Rest in peace, dear friends

Ahm... Can I post news related book-spoilers here?
 Ok, just to be on the secure side: [spoiler]I was so very much disappointed when I read what Jo said about Lupin's and Tonk's deaths. I did not see any sense in killing them off, it did nothing to the storyline, so I was not at ease with it all the time. But I thought, well there might be something I just did not see (beside the "this is war, people die" thing, as this did not apply to the other books where people survived in countless dangers). Now she sais, she did not intend to have them killed in the first place. It seems to me now that she just picked out some random characters to have some more deaths. How very sad. I actually enjoyed that article. I loved how she knew all these things. It's a shame she didn't put them in the actual epilogue. Question: [spoiler]Does that mean Luna and Neville ended up together? Married?[/spoiler] She seemed very vague about that.

I am... relieved and happy to hear this information...
Good ol' Harry. If he is happy, I am happy... if only now this would enable me to overcome my PPD (Post - Potter Depression)... Meh, all is well. This news is welcome.

I loved the extra info JKR gave in this interview! I can just imagine Hermione "high up in the dept of magical law enforcement" continuing to fight for house elf rights!
 And it makes absolute sense for Luna to become a naturalist! Then she can drop in on the odd herbology lecture, maybe she hooked up with Neville? lol!
