Harry Potter Movie Look-A-Likes Just in time for the release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, The Contest Staff has decided to host a contest celebrating the Harry Potter movies. For the month of July we are challenging you to grab your camera and go in search of look-a-likes from the Harry Potter films. Have you seen someone who is the spitting image of Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, Emma Watson as Hermione Granger or Rupert Grint as Ronald Weasley? Or maybe you know someone who has the Tom Felton/Draco Malfoy sneer of pure-blood wizarding superiority down to a perfect science? All we ask is that the picture be of a Harry Potter actor while in character. That doesn't mean the person has to be wearing dress robes, but we certainly don't want a picture of someone who looks like Jason Isaacs, the actor. We want a picture of someone who looks like Jason Isaacs portraying Lucius Malfoy. Any character portrayed in the Harry Potter movies is fair game. Just remember for this contest, we want pictures of people who resemble the characters from the movies, not necessarily the characters as described in book canon. For example, James and Oliver Phelps who portray Fred and George Weasley in the movies, are tall and thin while the Fred and George in book canon are referred to as short and stocky. Rules:

I actually have a quick question. I was just wondering, what are some ideas of things we should put in the explanation of the picture? I mean, I was thinking that maybe I should describe the way the character looks and the way I look, but I don't really know what else.

i look way like Hermione but i hate having pictures of me... i'm not all that photogenic.

The description can be anything you want it to be - explaining the subject's clothes if he/she is in costume to make him/her more like the character with his/her natural similarities, the similarities between the subject and the actor, why you think the subject looks like an actor, etc. We're just looking for an explanation with your photo on why you think this photo is a good entry. If it helps, think of it as your opportunity to convince the judges of why they should pick your entry to win in 100 words or less.

ok, I my nephew (who is like the same age as me) looks exactly like rupert grint, except only how he looks in the 2nd book. is that ok? the directins weren't clear about what movie iy has to be from. the same is with me, i look exactly like emma watson, but only how she looks in the 2nd book too. please reply and tell me if it is ok if we look more like the younger versions of rupert grint and emma watson. thanx!

Are you going to be posting all the pics, just the winners, the runners up? I can't wait to see the entries. I hope lizzy takes a pic together with her nephew. Off the top of my head i can't think of anyone I know that looks like the actors playing the characters. That's a tough one! I always have my camera with me though, so i'll keep my eyes peeled. Great idea, btw!

um... ok i hate to say this but i need help because i don't know how to take pictures from sd cards and paste them on my email... i'm not good with technical stuff! HELP! SOS
