So, I just wanted to have a special thread to talk about fellow fans of Khaled Hosseini's books cause I've noticed people talking about them in other threads, but as far as I can see, there isn't a special topic for them yet...

I finished The Kite Runner and on Friday I got his second book, A thousand splendid suns in the mail. biggrin.gif They are both amazing. His writing style...is so absolutely breathtaking and suspenseful. I seriously wouldn't put his books down...lol.gif

So, anyone else fans? What do y'all think? Going to see the movie of Kite Runner in November?

Come on, let's get talking happy.gif

These are two of my favorite books ever!!! I couldn't put either down. I'm already dying for his next book.

I didn't even know Kite Runner was going to be a movie...I'm not sure if I'll see it or not. It will never live up to the book.

AHHH! I love these books!! I agree with Siriusly Wicked that a movie would never live up to the book. I'm definately NOT going to see it because they ruin books. Khaled Hosseini is an amazing author who writes beautifully and compassionately!!!! I think I liked A Thousand Splendid Suns better, but I still loved the Kite Runner. Does anyone know when his next book will come out? conf.gif There are so many good books coming out next year!! I can't wait.

Oh my god, the Kite Runner was such a good book! It was, however slightly disturbing and depressing. I am definately going to see the movie. Have you ever read Tariq Ali or Jhumpa Lahiri's books? love, Love, LOVE Them!

I adored 'A Thousand Splendid Suns,' but haven't read 'The Kite Runner' yet. Strange, I know.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Jhumpa Lahiri. Her short stories are fantastic and 'the Namesake' brilliant. There was a movie made of it. I haven't seen it yet.
