So, I just wanted to have a special thread to talk about fellow fans of Khaled Hosseini's books cause I've noticed people talking about them in other threads, but as far as I can see, there isn't a special topic for them yet...
I finished The Kite Runner and on Friday I got his second book, A thousand splendid suns in the mail. So, anyone else fans? What do y'all think? Going to see the movie of Kite Runner in November? Come on, let's get talking This post has been edited by jaimedanser: Sep 17 2007, 07:19 PM -------------------- "Time passes in moments, which, rushing by, define the path of a life just as surely as they lead towards its end. These are two of my favorite books ever!!! I couldn't put either down. I'm already dying for his next book.
I didn't even know Kite Runner was going to be a movie...I'm not sure if I'll see it or not. It will never live up to the book. -------------------- ![]() (Voldemort) can move faster than Severus Snape confronted with shampoo when he wants to... Rapier (AKA Fred Weasley) |

AHHH! I love these books!! I agree with Siriusly Wicked that a movie would never live up to the book. I'm definately NOT going to see it because they ruin books. Khaled Hosseini is an amazing author who writes beautifully and compassionately!!!! I think I liked A Thousand Splendid Suns better, but I still loved the Kite Runner. Does anyone know when his next book will come out?

Oh my god, the Kite Runner was such a good book! It was, however slightly disturbing and depressing. I am definately going to see the movie. Have you ever read Tariq Ali or Jhumpa Lahiri's books? love, Love, LOVE Them!

I adored 'A Thousand Splendid Suns,' but haven't read 'The Kite Runner' yet. Strange, I know.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Jhumpa Lahiri. Her short stories are fantastic and 'the Namesake' brilliant. There was a movie made of it. I haven't seen it yet. -------------------- Avatar thanks to tinypic.com
