My fondest memories would probably have to be the events. The Death Eater invasion of the Lounge was what finally pushed me to join, and I never regretted it. My only regret is not being an active poster- having a family computer made it a lot more difficult than I expected it to be. I also loved the time preceeding DH- the Unfogging the Future section was fantastic, and I remember many a good trip into the How Magic Works section as well.

Hmmm, all of these memories are very sweet, but I'm more interested in the story behind the story...

Just who IS the cat's meow of Leaky? What secrets lurk behind these walls? Just who is "NickTLC"?

Anyone care to share? Anyone?

I have no happy memories of this place you call the Leaky Lounge.

Sorry Rita, never heard of this "NickTLC" *stands protectively in front of Nick with a look of innocence* angel.gif

I first joined in August 2006, although like many others I'd lurked for a while. I'd briefly joined another forum but didn't get a very friendly welcome so it was with caution that I joined up here and began posting in the PoA Reading Group. The people there were wonderful, didn't shoot down my theories and opinions and I'm still close friends with some of the people I "met" in there. Apart from taking part in that RG I think my most outstanding memory has to be being asked to mod which is, without doubt, the best fun. I work with some amazing people who are kind, hardworking and have a wonderful sense of humour flowers.gif to every single one of them.
For all those who've enjoyed events like Snape's Trial (my personal favourite snape.gif ) check out this forum which is all the old events and book clubs, the topics are closed so you can't post, but they do make fun reading.

Memories. Memories. I'm sure I have some of those somewhere.

*becomes pensive*

I do have a vague recollection of large groups of people, mainly middle-aged women.

*shrugs*

Well, I must go now. The healers are telling me that it is time for me to practice my joined-up writing!

I joined in May of '08 when the reading group opened for SS/PS. That was so much fun! I don't really have a specific memory, mostly just interacting with HP fans from around the world. I'm the biggest fan in my family and circle of friends, and it's great to come here and read the books again with other fans! I thoroughly enjoy reading other people's takes on the books. Here's to the Lounge, and many more years!

I officially registered in 2006, before that, like so many who have visited here, I was just a guest.
There have been many odd quarrles and disagreements that the staff have had to calm.
Much enthusiastic speculation (a few crazies shocking.gif).
Now days one may find me contentedly floating about, keeping watch as it all goes by.
