We are absolutely thrilled beyond belief to introduce the Leaky Video Galleries.

This project has been months and months in the making and you can find the news post by Melissa, here.

A small army worked on this, including many Gallery staffers and we hope you are as pleased with it as we are.

Just a run down for you as to how it works biggrin.gif :-

* You can browse by either "category", "year" or "rating".

* There is also a search facility, so if you type, for example, Dan Radcliffe, you will get a huge selection of videos that feature Dan.

* You can leave a comment for each video and also rate it thumbup.gif !

* We currently have 450 videos uploaded for you to view and many more to come.

There really has never been an easier way to view Harry Potter videos than this Gallery.

I would just like to give a special mention to Alex who started this from scratch and really has worked his socks off.

Enjoy!

Donna Hosie - Gallery Manager

Very nicely done and as long as you are putting this together…

Lol I have been searching for some interviews that Bloomsbury Magazine put out a long time ago and have not been able to come up with anything about them since I found them the first time. I spotted them watched the first one and had intended to come back and watch the rest, but they had pulled them down before I got around to them again and I have basically given up on them since then, but if you or one of your sources still have them, they would be nice to see.

Unfortunately the best I can do is tell you the interview was done on a train and was wrapped around how she first got the idea for the Harry Potter series; remarkably enough though, you can still find the snap shots that yahoo got of them when their video crawler cataloged them and you can see them here,

http://au.search.yahoo.com/search/video?p =site%3Awww.bloomsburymagazine.com&ei=UTF-8&fr=fp& cv=g&x=wrt

if that link does not work, just cut and paste the code below into Yahoo’s search engine and make sure the video option is chosen, it should still pop up.

site:www.bloomsburymagazine.com

It’s no biggie of course, but they had caught my attention enough to get me to come back to finish them, so it would be interesting to see and of course they would be nice addition to your collection if you can tract them down.

Hope that helps get you something worth watching,

John B.

Interesting, some how a space got put in that link, if it happens again, just make sure all spaces are taken out and it should work and if worse comes to worse, simply use the coding, that should be fail safe, unless Yahoo nukes it off its server.

Some more information for you on the features smile.gif .

You can download each video yourself, as well as viewing it, in either wmv or ipod format. The MB size of each video is displayed under each format for your information as well.

You can also copy the code for each video and link to it.

thumbup.gif Wow, could this be more popular? - (to quote Chandler Bing!)

Since the Video Gallery went live, just 2 days ago, there have been 17,356 views of the videos and 1,906 downloads - and the server hasn't crashed once dance.gif !!!

The most popular category is, understandably, Daniel Radcliffe, followed by Emma Watson. snape.gif is also proving very popular but I believe that could just be DorisTLC wink.gif !

The search facility is working extremely well, but please remember to use the HELP thread in this forum if you would like assistance in locating a video.

In case anyone cared to know this but the video in the Alan Rickman section "In Demand" is a HUGE HUGE video with the AR fans.

That video is constantly talked about on his fan sites.

If you watch it you'll understand why!!!!

Thanks Alex for posting it as most other sites don't have a very good link clap.gif

I would just like to clarify the comments section smile.gif .

Each video gives you the option to make a comment and view comments made by other people. Click on "add your own" or "read more" to do this.

The "report this comment to a moderator" button should only be used if you happen to come across an inappropriate comment. Thank you.

Remember to rate each video as well thumbup.gif . There are stars from "boring" to "cool"! This will help other Leaky fans to decide which videos to watch as they appear under the category of "top rated videos".

Here is your October update on the Leaky Video Gallery.

There are now 451 videos in the Gallery. The newest addition is the Pottercast Wizard Rock Special. This video contains footage of Harry and the Potters, Draco and the Malfoys and the Remus Lupins during their Summer 2006 tours. Comes complete with screaming fans wink.gif !!

The videos in this Gallery have been viewed a staggering 81,232 times since it's launch last month and there have been 10,928 downloads.

The most popular category remains Daniel Radcliffe, followed by Emma Watson, however, the behind the scenes specials also remain very popular. The wonderful Evanna Lynch interview is the 5th most popular video.

If you need any help navigating the site, please feel free to contact one of the Gallery team, or post in our HELP thread!! We will endeavour to point you in the right direction.

A brand new video has been added to the Video Gallery by brand new Video Gallery staffer SuperBlue thumbup.gif .

It's a very recent interview with Rupert Grint and you can view it here. In it he talks about his recent film, Driving Lessons, and it contains clips of him in this. There are also the obligatory HP clips and questions thumbup.gif .

It's great fun and wonderful to see Rupert on his own.

I would also like to officially welcome.gif SuperBlue to the Gallery staff. Many of you will be familiar with him as he is a fantastic member of the Reading Group staff, but he is also helping add new videos to the Gallery and adding them to the featured video section.

*waves hi to the peanut gallery* biggrin.gif

Yes, as the wonderful Donna mentioned, I will be managing the content of our beloved Video Galleries and working closely with all the Gallery Girls (whose tireless work put even the most dedicated house elf to shame) and Chris to upload new videos and actually place them in within the confines of the vidgals themselves.

If ever there is anything not in here that you have a specific request for, please let me know and we'll see what we can do to find it!

And yes.....*cough* join the L&S Reading Groups before time runs out!

~Andrew

It's been a rollercoaster of a week in the Leaky Video Gallery with not only the official teaser trailer for the OotP film released, but a plethora of sneaky peak videos as well. If you don't mind spoilers of the enormous kind, then definately check out the HBO OotP sneak peak which has been hugely popular, (as this forum could testify to!!)

Other additions to the Gallery include more behind the scenes videos for the GoF movie and also footage from premieres, and this short but sweet video of Daniel talking to CBBC's Newsround about the reaction to the OotP trailer.

Another couple of videos have been added to the Gallery this week with more news about the OotP film.

However if you would like to get away from Harry and Death Eaters for a little while wink.gif , then check out this short preview of Dan Radcliffe's forthoming movie, December Boys. It's worth watching for the stunning scenery alone.

This is the funniest HP parody EVER! I made all my (less-HP-obsessed) friends sit and watch it Christmas day (after a re-watching of the GoF DVD) and they all just cracked-up! lol.gif

Thanks for making this available for countless chuckles! thumbup.gif (I even down-loaded it to my iPod for odd-moment amusement!)

An old interview with our favourite author has been added to the Video Gallery and can be viewed here. It's just under a minute long but contains some interesting snippets about what to expect in book 7 - Dudley had better watch out wink.gif !!

And a brand new video with Jason Isaacs can be viewed here. We all hope along with him that Jo has Lucius doing something spectacular in Deathly Hallows, just so we get to see him in the movie!!!

Enjoy!

We have a new video of ITV’s "This Morning“ show featuring an interview with Stanislav Ianevski, Clemence Poesy and Robert Pattinson! It was originally aired March 19, 2006 during the promotion for GoF. Clemence reveals her feelings about the possibility of returning for other films! (Robert says his chances of returning are "unlikely"!) biggrin.gif You can find this video here.

There is also a new video here shot prior to the release of SS. This is the first part of the 2001 TV special called "Behind The Magic." It includes an interviews with Rupert and Chris Columbus, and Emma. (Listen to ickle Ronniekins' voice!)

Part two of "Behind the Magic" is up now here!

He talks about what he is looking forward to being realized in a theme park and his favourite pieces and what they can expand on in this new medium.
Questions are answered about J.K. Rowling's involvement in the development, why the theme park is to be in Florida, if it will be based on a certain book, about the timing, thrill-rides, fan-contribution, the design process, targeted audience and the British feel of the Park.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Universal Studios' official version of the webcast in which Production Designer Stuart Craig amd Universal Creative’s Vice President Scott Trowbridge announce and discuss plans for Universal Studios Orlando’s themed environment: “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter”. Daniel Radcliffe has 20 seconds to answer some random questions as part of his recent appearance on the Australian TV show Rove. Discover his favourite grocery aisle, whether he has ever completed a rubik’s cube and what he really thinks of Albert Einstein.

And last but not least J.K. Rowling's long anticipated biography:

Harry Potter and Me – Part 1
To find out the routes of this publishing success about the boy who became famous this part of the biography looks at the beginnings of the Harry Potter saga and the implications on J. K. Rowling's life and the world. We turn to J. K. Rowling's own story of how she came to writing about the young wizard. For this we go back to 1990 when the idea materialised and how the author felt then and looks back at it now. She visits King's Cross giving her personal notions and thoughts about the place. She talks about developing the plot over five years before the first book came out. She shows her notes on characters, sketches, discarded chapters and histories she drew up.

Harry Potter and Me – Part 2
J.K. Rowling shows her sketches she made for herself of characters and items. We turn back to Rowling's biography about life as she develops Harry's world. She visits the apartment where she lived whilst writing the first book and talks about writing in cafes visiting Colsons one of her favourite cafes to write in. She continues to talk about her willpower enabling her to continue writing as an unknown author. Harry too found his way to rejection piles until it finally was accepted by Bloomsbury which was to her the second best moment in her life.

Harry Potter and Me – Part 3
We turn to how J.K.Rowling introduces and leads us into the world of Harry Potter, the "every-boy with a twist". J.K.Rowling continues to state that she does not believe in which craft and that most of the magic she describes is completely invented. Only with America being caught by the Potter-fever and the rights were auctioned did J.K.Rowling find she could become a full time writer. She continues to parallel herself with Hermione. She continues to talk about her childhood writing and the influence of other books on her writing. She visits her childhood home and talks about her memories of the place.

Harry Potter and Me – Part 4
J.K. Rowling talks about her relationship with Sean and how he inspired Ron's character. Also his Ford Anglia was not only an important part of her relationship with Sean but took on a prominent role in the second installment of the Harry Potter novels. J.K.Rowling turns to her mother who died young of MS. She talks about how the death of her mother caused her to change how the Potter's die and also her feelings about what she would ask seeing her in the mirror of erised. Death is a central part for her, yet she doesn't not approve of parents chiding her about how she writes. PoA and then GoF come along slowly develop her stardom to the point where she reads for packed audiences and does huge signing events. In retrospect she believes it unlikely she'd neither believe this possible nor be able to handle it.

Harry Potter and Me – Part 5
J.K.Rowling parallels her sudden fame with that of Harry. She talks about how journalists invaded her private life whilst others try to ban her books thinking she is is promoting the witch occult. She talks about first seeing PS/SS and writing book 5. She talks and "shows" the final chapter of book 7.

Time for our monthly update!

Once again the Video Galleries have seen quite a few additions this week.
Besides rather current clips we are momentarily also adding some older clips to our database in order to round off our pretty extensive collection of Harry Potter clips. So in case you stumble across a clip that seems to be rather old you now know why! wink.gif
So yeah, this months' additions are as follows:

Daniel Radcliffe at the Theatregoers’ Choice Awards
Daniel Radcliffe, taking a break from filming the latest Harry Potter, surprised the audience of theatregoers when he turned up at the event to collect the award for Dewynters London Newcomer of the Year for his stage debut in last year's hit revival of Equus, which transfers to Broadway this summer. But no one was more surprised than the actor himself when, as he approached the microphone to give his acceptance speech, Awards co-host James Corden passionately – and to wild applause – locked lips with him.
Radcliffe was joined on stage by Equus author Peter Shaffer and producer Daffyd Rogers as the production won two more awards: Best Play Revival and AKA Theatre Event of the Year for the steamy pre-publicity photographs of a naked Radcliffe beside a white horse.

Emma Watson and Rupert Grint on Comme Au Cinema
This is a video from the summer of 2007 where Rupert Grint, Emma Watson ans David Yates are discussing the release of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix." David talks about the experience of making the film while Emma and Rupert discuss how much fun they had and a little about the future movies. Watch out for a funny rendition of Hedwig's Theme by the two actors!

Alan Rickman in "Bottle Shock" - Trailer
Brought together by a curious twist of fate on a dusty California road, a wandering vintner and a struggling winemaker find both their lives, and their careers, forever transformed at a blind Paris wine tasting that introduced the world to the extraordinary wines of Napa Valley. The year is 1976, and Napa Valley has yet to gain the reputation as one of world's best-known wine regions. Jim Barrett (Bill Pullman) has sacrificed everything in life to realize his dream of creating the perfect Chateau Montelena. Yet despite the fact that Jim's Napa Valley vineyard has great potential, his son Bo (Chris Pine) doesn't seem to have much interest in the family business. Most days, Jim and Bo can be found trading blows in their backyard boxing ring - their attempts to knock a bit of sense into one another usually amounting to naught. Meanwhile, in Paris, British expatriate Steven Spurrier (Alan Rickman) finds necessity dictating that he educate Parisians on the latest wines to come out of California. Steven owns the Academie du Vin, and is eager to travel to the United States in order to ensure that he has conducted his research properly. Little did Steven and Jim realize that they were both on course for a chance meeting that would revolutionize the wine industry while opening up a whole new world of possibilities for wine lovers everywhere.

Robert Pattinson in "How To Be" - Trailer
A wry comedy about Art, a frustrated musician, who is undergoing what he sees as a quarter life crisis. This is not helped when his girlfriend dumps him and he has to move back in with his middle class parents — who are far from thrilled with the idea.
Art's only friend, agoraphobic Ronny, has his own problems. Holed up in a London flat in a daze of nitrous oxide and electro music, Ronny wants to start a band with Art and happy-go-lucky friend Nikki, but only if it involves going no further afield than the flat's roof garden.
Art discovers self-help guru, Dr Levi Ellington, author of "It's Not Your Fault". Using inheritance money, Art pays for Dr Ellington to move in with him and his parents, becoming Art's full-time life coach and shadowing him wherever he goes.

Alan Rickman talks about "Bottle Shock" on ABC News

Excited movie fans have been gathering in Gloucester as filming took place for the sixth Harry Potter film - "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince".
Once again the cloisters of the city's Gothic Cathedral were used for scenes set at Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and pupils from the nearby King's School were used as extras.

E! interviews Daniel Radcliffe on BAFTA Red Carpet
Daniel Radcliffe is being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest and Ben Lyons at the 2008 BAFTA Awards. During that interview, Daniel assures his fans that his voice so doesn't sound like David Beckham's and admits that he has never before watched any of the "Star Wars" or "Indiana Jones" movies.

Daniel Radcliffe accepts the 2008 People's Choice Award for "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix"

It's update time for the TLC Video Gallery! thumbup.gif

Of course, the biggest addition is the long-awaited Official Teaser Trailer for Harry Potter and the Half Blood-Prince. This incredible little gem is a huge departure for the HP film trailers, and has been seen in the Galleries over 20,000 times! Be sure to head over to our HBP trailer discussion thread and tell us what you think. smile.gif

We also have the miniscule IMAX teaser as well.

Amongst the over 975 videos in the gallery, these are the newest ones --

Two new trailers for the HBP videogames: this one is an exciting overview of the game, while this intreview with of the the EA game producers focuses on how amazing the game will be for the Nintendo Wii platform.

Our favourite author, JK Rowling is featured in this short interview with BBC One/Scotland, discussing the impact of Multiple Sclerosis on her life (her mother died from the disease.)

Julie Walters (Molly Weasley) is in the new film of Mamma Mia!, and we have a couple of the ABBA song routines that feature her: "Dancing Queen" as well as "Take a Chance on Me".

Rupert Grint did a fun turn on the Happy Hour with All Murray show. Watch what Al does to a copy of Deathly Hallows!

There is a short interview with Jason Isaacs at the London premiere for Wall-E, and he jokes about picketing the set for Deathly Hallows.

The ever-lovely Alan Rickman was recently interviewed by Diane Sawyer on Good Morning, America about his new film Bottle Shock. It's quite fun to watch a big star like Sawyer literally fangirl Rickman! lol.gif

An HP craft-along video shows how to make Hogwarts friendship bracelets.

Have a look 'round the VidGal--you'll be amazed with what you find there! type.gif

More new videos in the TLC Video Gallery!

Although the EA videogame of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has been pushed back to July 2009 along with the film, we still have some great coverage of the game, including this fun one of the Phelps twins trying it out on the Wii platform, here in the Gallery. Speaking of James and Oliver Phelps, we also have an interview with them from the same German gaming convention in Leipzig that the Wii demo is from.

With Dan Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths having opened their revival of Equus on Broadway last month, the Video Gallery mavens have been scurrying to add all the great intreviews and appearances the actors have made for that. A very funny appearance by Dan on the Conan O'Brien Show is well-worth checking out. biggrin.gif An insightful interview from 2007 from the Variety Reelz channel can be found here. And from August we now have Dan's appearance on the New York Times' podcast "Times Talk" right here. AND we have added the AUDIO interview that NPR did with Radcliffe and Griffiths for your listening pleasure. reporter.gif

Since we now have an awesome Jason Isaacs video appreciation thread, we are adding more new yummy interesting vids featuring him. wink.gif Thus we have film trailers for Peter Pan as well as Passionada.

Also, keep a look out for even more vids featuring Robert Pattinson as Twilight nears its release, such as this second teaser trailer. David Thewlis is featured in a new film, The Boy in Striped Pajamas, and we have added a clip from the film as well as the official trailer.

MTV did some coverage of the HP fan-fest Terminus, and the video is here. Some Fans who attended Terminus got to see the documentary We Are Wizards, and the Gallery is proud to have added the trailer to our collection. wizard.gif Finally, in honour of the tenth anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone US publisher Scholastic hosted an amazing party and cover-to-cover read-through of the book in New York City, the commercial for which may be found here in the Video Gallery, with actual coverage of the event here.

Thanks to Chris and his video angels for uploading all this wonderful stuff! Be sure and visit our amazing Gallery and post your comments on the over 1000 HP-related videos we have there. Also, if you know of a video we don't have in the Gallery and would like to see added, please send the link to

Update time for the TLC Video Gallery News! reporter.gif

Jo Rowling takes the top spot with the release of her companion book (for charity) The Tales of Beedle the Bard! read.gif US publisher Arthur Levine shows off his hand-written copy, is on-hand for the unveiling of it's exhibition at the New York Public Library, and most special of all, gives us his reading of "The Fountain of Fair Fortune". Be sure and check out the some dozen or so Beedle videos here.

Biggest movie news was the release of TWO trailers for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince! The leaked International Teaser was nearly full-length, and contained lots of spoiler-ific images of The Cave, the attack on the Burrow, and some very real Harry/Hermione friendship moments! If that wasn't enough, the Official trailer came out (which was also released in front of a certain "sparkly vampire" flick) and can be viewed here in the VidGal! It has even more spoilery stuff, with cool images of side-along apparation and Won-won/Lav-lav! lol.gif

With the recent showing of various Harry Potter films on ABC Family, viewers were treated to FIVE "First Look" videos for Half-Blood Prince -- The Story, Love is in the Air, Meet Prof. Slughorn, Tom Riddle. and Comedy. excited.gif

Several of the OotP DVD extras have been added: visiting the ministry, saving Sirius, Occlumency, DA training, Harry see Arthur attacked, flight to Grimmauld Place, and finding the Prophecy.

Fans in Chicago will be treated to an exhibition of HP film artifacts, and the videos promoting same can be found in the Gallery. Here the Phelps twins discuss it with reporters.

With Dan Radcliffe currently playing on-Broadway in Equus, we have tons of new interviews with him. Here is his interview with the Today Show, plus we have bunches of bits from his interview with Inside the Actor's Studio, starting here with the full interview here. There is also his interview with E-Online, and, arguably, best of all are two videos of Dan and the "horses" from Equus at the charity "Gypsy of the Year" event in New York, here with an overview.

Emma Watson also hit the interview-circuit, promoting the new animated film The Tale od Despereaux in which she voices "Princess Pea." Here are promos for the film, her interview on Blue Peter, and at the Los Angeles premiere. ratty.gif

Other Potter actors promoting various projects include Robbie Coltrane (who actually mentions how much he is looking forward to flying in the DH films), Michael Gambon on the BBC (very funny!), David Thewlis promoting The Boy in Striped Pyjamas, and Robert Pattinson discussing Twilight. Also, Tom Felton appeared on Adrenaline Junkie bungee jumping, amongst other dangerous things.

As ever, many thanks to Chris and his video angels for uploading these amazing videos! Be sure and visit our Video Gallery and post your comments there as well as here in this forum. If you know of a video we don't have in the Gallery and would like to see added, please send the link to

videos@the-leaky-cauldron.org

Have a fantastic holiday season and a Harry New Year!

Update time again! smile.gif

Jo Rowling is atop our list again (as she should be tongue.gif ) with footage of her receiving the French Legion of Honor medal. thumbup.gif (Note, the audio is in French.)

More Half Blood Prince videos are out, including this amazing "First Look" and MTV's set visit to HBP.

Dan Radcliffe wrapped up his Broadway stint in Equus and found himself a part of Broadway tradition by having his caricature added to the wall of Sardi's.

Attending the BAFTA awards, we see Emma Watson, Brendan Gleeson and Jason Isaacs, the latter doing a very funny presentation of a special award to Pinewood Studios (where parts of the last 2 HP films are being filmed even as I type this.)

Ralph Fiennes, who plays Lord Voldemort, is also featured in the Oscar-winning film The Reader, and you can see an interview with him concerning that film here.

Many thanks to Chris & his Angels for the video capture. clap.gif If you know of an HP-related viedo that you feel should be added to the TLC Gallery, please email that info and link to
