The-Leaky-Cauldron.org is pleased to present LeakyCon 2009, a fan conference set to take place in Boston, Massachusetts May 21st – 24th, 2009. With our minds towards the canon of Harry Potter, LeakyCon 2009 will bring together fans from across oceans and over borders to join together for four days and nights of pure magic.

Over the years, the Leaky Cauldron has hosted a number of fundraisers to support a wide variety of causes. As we developed the concept of LeakyCon 2009, it was natural for us to look to our own not for profit roots and determine that the conference should benefit causes our readers hold near and dear. In that vein, two worthy charities have been chosen to benefit from the event, the HP Alliance and BookAid International.
LeakyCon 2009 will be chock full of fantastic speakers, fabulous events, and spectacular fun for all… LeakyCon 2009 will feature Formal Programming, Informal Programming and Youth Programming specifically for those aged 14 to 18. We’ve also compiled a special Parent Packet geared towards the parents of those who may be considering attending the event, which will be available to everyone very soon.
If you are interested in participating, leading, or giving any sort of programming event, be sure to complete the “Calls for “Proposals” form, also coming soon!
We also have a monthly newsletter, the Leaky Quill, available to keep everyone informed on what’s going to be happening at the event. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for news from the Board of Directors, TLC Staff, PotterCast, Wizard Rockers, and more!
So… come on in, pull up a chair, and let’s get ready for a party to end all parties in 2009!
