An image-magician with an artist's wand, this Featured FanArtist is a huge favourite in the fandom! Put your wands in the air for

LeelaStarsky

LeelaStarsky works both in digital and traditional art media--and seems perfectly content in both worlds. Her art appears to have an inner glow of life and promise. She obviously has a genuine love for the Potter characters, and that warmth radiates from the images! heart.gif

The number one most-viewed image in the TLC FanArt Gallery is this one by Leela,
her winning entry for the TLC Deathly Hallows cover contest, viewed over 44,800 times!

More of her work can be viewed on her various artsites:

The artistic muse has definitely smiled on LeelaStarsky and we are truly fortunate she has chosen to share that amazing talent with us. Take a long lingering look through some of the best HP FanArt in the Gallery . . . and tell us which ones move you the most. I'm sure you'll find quite a few of hers that do. smile.gif

Oh, I love her art. I think one of my favorites is this one:
Birth of Ginny

And she also has a BEATIFUL drawing of Jo:

Well with the month thats in it we can't go without mentioning this wonderful piece from 12 Grimmauld Place.

(If there is a banner sized version lying around I'd be most grateful)

Also on the humour side of things is this portrayl of Aussie (her home territory) wizards taking a break from Quidditch practice. (Probably a more traditional christmas sight where she is anyway.)

It was about time!!! LeelaStarky is one of my favorite fanartirts, apart from the amazing canon HP pictures, I absolutely love her HP fanfic/AU ones..

Like this one:(BRILLIANT!) Ron and Hermione with her daughter and son and Harry...
Here

She has this amazing capacity to portray HP characters in different situations/places/times apart from canon that I find really amazing... Watching one of her AU HP pictures is like reading a wonderful fanfic...

This one OF Hermione/Ron'S wedding (commision)
Wedding

And this wonderful piece of Ginny Harry:
Ginny & Harry

Her Ron is EXACTLY how I pictured him in my mind:
Ron

And her BEST PIECE OF ART in my opinion, Harry with Sirius and Lupin as animagus and werewolf..
Harry & Sirius & Lupin

What an amazing and contempary artist! Leela's art is a pleasure to review and share clap2.gif! I love her coloured images, along with her pencil ones, they are contain, vibrant contrasting colours. She deciphers the Trio well, and makes her images look like we are looking at a Digital Photograph of Daniel Radcliffe or Emma Watson. Her fanart is very varied, and her images are always full with colour and life!

Newlyweds Ron and Hermione admiring Victorie at the Burrow at Christmas
I love this image, its really beautiful to see the looks on there faces, like there reacting in a way to the baby. The Christmas scene is perfect for this time of year and the people in the background make the image look like it is a special moment for both of them. kiss.gif

A digital image of the Trio originally for "SugarQuill"
I think this image is really warm and cosy. It is a sort of an acomplished look on there faces, like they have defeated Voldemort and being welcomed by everyone. I love how Harry's drawn in this one, his face build up is just perfect. Hermione's hair is really lovely in this (its great to see how people decipher 'frizzy') and Ron's prominent nose and eyebrows really standout! grin.gif

Thestrals in Watercolour
This is a really priceless image! Not many fan artists use paints (more pencils or digital), but this photograph is really good. The detail, from the wings to the wet mane, is outstanding, this has to be one of the best creature fan art images in the galleries! excited.gif

Again, great work Leela, and I can't wait to see more of it in the future!

Ah, those thestrals are perfect in watercolors! Amazing.

I like the one of Christmas at the Burrow not only because it's gorgeous, but because of where Hermione's hand is...that's just great. biggrin.gif I'd seen that picture before, but never noticed the others in the background. Now that I see them, it makes it even more of a "we're the only people in the world" kind of moment. If that really is Victoire, the way they're looking at each other over the baby makes me wonder why Rose came along so many years later! lol.gif

Yes, I am posting in here again. Seriously, Leela is my favorite fanartist, with the possible exception of Mudblood428 biggrin.gif I'm so excited!

Trio in the Snow
It's just beautifully done. It really captures the emotion in their faces, and how great of friend they are, and the environment around them...

Ron and Hermione Sunday Mornings
Really captures the depth of their relationship. It's amazing that by just drawing that simple motion of Hermione touching Ron's chin, Leela managed to capture so much. Their faces are really telling and I love the red in the background.

Ron and Hermione on the Beach
Well, I've mentioned enough that I love the way she draws Ron and Hermione. And emotions on pretty much anyone. But I really love how she drew them running and the beach and ocean and all....Plus, the otter is a great touch.

Dumbledore's Army
And, amazingly, this is the first fanart I ever found, way back in 2004 when looking for a DA picture. I just love how she drew pretty much everyone...Luna being "out there", Ron and Harry being all brotherly-friends, Hermione and her books/bookish annoyed look, Ginny's toughness, and Neville's quiet strength. smile.gif Beatuiful drawing...

I love Leela's art, most of the beatiful paintings I adore were mentioned before, but these two are my favourites:

My favourite scene in DH, Ron facing his biggest fear, thanks to the Locketcrux:

And this version of older Ron and Hermione, you can often find it on my desktop:

You made an exellent choice honouring her, like always biggrin.gif
