Its Fantastic! But it isn't Discworld. But its still One of his best and now its out in paperback.
There're doing a stage production of it at the National This winter. Also New out is 'Unseen Accademicals' the new Discworld book (which I just finished last night) Its sort of about Socer.... but don't let that put you off if you are not a socer fan (cos I ain't!) Its still a cracking read. With lots of the old favourite characters from UU Unseen Academicals I've been re-reading the Discworld books in series and had got as far as Carpe Jugulum before breaking to read UA - And I have to re-assess my comment to hermiobbin - It really was a good read. I particularly liked Agnes and Migthly Oats and was glad to see he returned in passing in the new book. BTW I also finally got round to reading the Bromiliad Trilogy. Which I really enjoyed a lot. I do so love the way the takes the things we think we know and twists them through another dimension and shows them to us again from the point of view of someone for whom the usual is unusual and confusing and often hilarious. As usual, i am late to finding the threads, but, to be fair i am only recently joining the discworld.
my favorite characters are for sure Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg and Magrat, the three of the them together are hilarious, especially in witches abroad. to be fair though i havent read that many, a friend is giving them to me based on character, not sequence, so ive read witched abroad, wyrd sisters, lords and ladies, and now masquerade. Didnt Terry Pratchett get knighted not to long ago? -------------------- of course it is happening inside your head Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?"

Didnt Terry Pratchett get knighted not to long ago? You might want to check out Carpe Jugulum as that's another Lacre based story and then there is the Tiffany Aching series (Hat full of Sky, Wee Free Men and Wintersmith) with are a little subset of Discworld books which feature Granny Weatherwax and occasionally the otheres as well. I've reached an 'imp's arse' (as Terry would say)in my Discworld series re-read as I have discovered that my copy of 'Monsterous Regiment' is not in it's rightful position on the bookshelf. I'm hoping my brother has it and I can get it back at the weekend otherwise I dunno who I lent it to! Yes Terry was knighted. QUOTE Terry Pratchett was awarded a knighthood in the 2009 New Years Honours list for services to literature. As Sir Terry was previously awarded an OBE back in 1998 he becomes a Knight Bachelor. He is now Sir Terry Pratchett OBE ALSO: Going Postal adaptation SKY1 Easter 2010 QUOTE Sky1 will be showing Going Postal in Easter 2010. The latest cast list is as follows:
