To tell the truth, none of the deaths were of favourite characters for me. Hedwig got to me because she really was a true innocent. She had done nothing to get herself into that situation, whereas all the others even Dobby had chosen to be in those places.
What got to me about the deaths were the reactions of the characters left behind. It upset me to see those characters dealing with their losses, especially Harry and the others with Dobby. That was so detailed and so emotional that even though I don't really like Dobby I got really upset at that part of the book. -------------------- |

Well, it's perhaps no surprise that one death -or two- which which struck me (perhaps because it was so unexpected!) was the story of Regulus and his true loyalties and unknown bravery.....and the "living death" which Kreacher endured for all those long years until Harry, Hermione, and Ron learned of his obedience to Regulus' command of secrecy from the Black family. Wow. Perhaps this was the first time we heard of a noble Slytherin death which happened while trying to bring down Voldemort! I love how Regulus changed how we had to think of Slytherin.
And as for Colin Creevy...I think I phyically bent over in pain when I read about Oliver Wood carrying his tiny body over his shoulder. Ouch. Still hurts to read about him! -------------------- *thanks, twiddlethosedials, for the siggy* |
