An artist, and a gentlman, this Featured FanArtist revels in amazing Potter canon scenes and rarely-seen images and imaginings!
The TLC FanArt Gallery proudly presents --

Equally at-home in both colour and black and white, MikeyBooch excels at capturing the essence of the character's attitude and expression with a subtle nuance that is exciting to see! Look how perfectly he seems to show the inner dialogue of the characters in this scene ("The Weighing of the Wands") from Goblet of Fire --

In addition to his album in the TLC FanArt Gallery, you can also find MikeyBooch's work in his LiveJournal and on deviantART --

I love MikeyBooch! thumbup.gif I absolutely love getting to see scenes from the books that are rarely depicted, and MikeyBooch does them so well.

This is one of my absolute favorites:

Here in our galleries.

I love the dynamic action in this picture, and the way Grindelwald is portrayed. How I wish Jo would give us a blow-by-blow account of that duel, I am sure it was epic!

Congrats clap.gif MikeyBooch! You deserve recognition!!! toast.gif

He does that AMAZINGLY WELL! heart.gif As I have a lot of compassion and respect for the character of Andromeda Black Tonks, I have got to share this lovely vision of her and Ted Tonks while they were both at Hogwarts --

Here in the FanArt Gallery

I like that Ted is in Hufflepuff, and really wonder if Andy was a "good Slytherin". That would be very nice symmetry and speak to the notion that "all Slytherins are evil." ponder.gif And a VERY nice touch to have the Black sisters in the background! snake.gif

I love how realistic all of these pieces look! I think that this realism comes from the great color choices that the artist makes, and all the details that they put in the picture

An example is this picture:

(Seen larger in the galleries here)

The coloring is very dark, which helps you feel like that is nighttime, as it is when these scene occurs. The many fantastic details in the background depict the many things that Dumbledore has in his office, such as the many portraits and leather bound books. The expressions on Umbridges and Fudges faces capture the delight that the two have believing that they are soon going to be able to get Dumbledore out of Hogwarts. (Side note: The pink on Umbridges sweater is so Pink! Love it!)

There is just so much that is amazing in this picture, everytime I look at it I find a great new detail!

I love this artist! Besides the one with Umbridge that someone already posted, I also like this piece:
http://fanart.the-leaky-cauldron.org/picture/view/3543

Snape and McGonagall's expressions are priceless!

And this one makes me want to cry: http://fanart.the-leaky-cauldron.org/picture/view/5447

And hardly anyone has done this scene, which I love (especially Hermione's face): http://fanart.the-leaky-cauldron.org/picture/view/3544

I quite agree! Here is that awesom Hermione/boggart image by MikeyBooch --

I love how he draws McG here . . . just as I'd pictured her! wizard.gif

I think MikeyBooch's style is quite inventive and action-packed showing a lot of different types of scenes from the books in his artwork. Also birthday twins makes a good point about how well the artist captures dynamic moments from the books.

These are two of my favourites:

Here in the Galleries

This one is obviously inspired by the Apple ipod phenomenon of a few years back. The caption is nice too, "magic for a new age". It makes me think of the current students of Hogwarts wandering around the corridors wth magically adapted ipods. biggrin.gif

Absolutely love this one of a Ravenclaw player catching the snitch during a Quidditch game. thumbup.gif

Totally seconded! I LURVE that pink!
... as well as the depiction of her in general because she looks exactly like the Dolores I've always imagined while reading the books which is just fantastic! And as KimmyBlair so accurately mentioned, her face speaks volumes which is just astonishing to see and really speaks for the fine artistic skills of the artist. So yeah, well done, MikeyBooch!

This one is definitely one of my all time favourite depictions of her! thumbup.gif
