I just hope that I am not the only one that does that. I love to name my pets after HP characters.

So far I have:

Mr.Ollivander- Budgie( Many people call them parakeets.)
Yaxley- Another budgie.
Phineas Nigellus Black- And yet another budgie(RIP)

I have a Frodo too. He is a green-cheeked conure. I also have a Dallas Winston "Dally"(from The Outsiders). She is a vizsla(yeah I know, Dally is suppose to be a boy.)

Here are some pictures:

Ollivander is green and Yaxley is blue/grey.

Dally.

Frodo (Picture was for a Photo Contest. I do not let him play with rings.)

Phineas Nigellus Black.

So does anyone else name their pets after HP characters or any other book/movie characters?

Our current dog, a black Labrador Retriever, is named Chloe after a song by the band Mother Love Bone. We will probably get a second dog next year, either a German Shepard, a Beagle or a mutt - whatever we can find at the pound - and will name it Draco. Not that I am necessarily a big fan of Draco, I just think it will be a cool name for a dog!

Cool. I love Draco. I actually almost named Ollivander, Draco.

I have a cats family of four. A mother and her three kids.

One is called Luna, and she's very lunatic and crazy, so the name is well chosen wolf.gif Another one is Frodo, but as he is a bully for the other cats when it comes to eating and beeing also the fattest one, I more often call him " Didi"

The other cat is called "Niņa" (girl) because she stopped growing when she got pregnant with eight months, and a black beauty called Max. smile.gif

I like the name Ollivander for a bird, it fits as Ravenclaw is the air sign.

Since this topic is discussing pets with HP character names, it is more suited for the Pensieve Parlor. Hold on to all body parts while we take a short trip there wizard.gif

Just so you know, we also have a closed thread here that has wonderful discussions about HP pet names. Feel free to read the great discussions, and quote the posts here as well happy.gif

the love of my life and the only man in my life *sigh* is my boy Nargle. He was a rescue shelter cat and is seen in my signature below. He just turned one on the 18th. He knows how to fetch like a dog...he's just special. wub.gif

Phoenix is my female stripped kitten that has become a very promising young cat! She has a fire red hair stripe in her forehead right where a 3rd eye would be if she had one. I think of the Order of the Phoenix, and my own Phoenix, and Albus Dumbledores Phoenix - Fawkes.

She was born April 28, 2006 and I am sure I was influenced to name her right on the spot when I met her by my love the Harry Potter books.

Maybe poor Remus just has a "furry little problem," like another Remus we know and love. wink.gif

I have a cat named Willow, short for The Whomping Willow, of course. I didn't know when I named her, just how appropriate that was. She's a rather large cat and if she pounces on you, you feel that you've been properly, "whomped." biggrin.gif

Nargle is one already? Wow! He's such a cutie!
