Interesting questions, rowena r.
1. Which of the magical and otherwise objects do you think was the most important in The Hobbit? First, let me see how many objects there were that I might be interested in: Gandalf's staff(able to create fireworks and other nifty tasks) The two Elven swords, "Beater" and "Biter" Gollum's ring(The One Ring) Bard's Arrow The Arkenstone and other Dwarf booty held by Smaug
If given just one choice, which one would you choose to have for yourself & why?
Well, I wouldn't want the ring, no matter how tempting the thought of becoming invisible might be, seeing that it essentially was cursed. I'm torn between Gandalf's staff and Bilbo's sword, "Sting" (AKA Biter). Since I can't think of many situations where a sword would come in that handy, I guess I would choose Gandalf's staff. It would be fun to find out just what kind of things it could do! I would always be popular around children who liked fireworks, anyway!
--What would you like to use that object for in everyday life? I would like to see if I could make food magically appear with Gandalf's staff. Then I wouldn't have to cook so much! Or maybe it would make a coat or jacket rain repellent! That would be cool, too!
