OK, I think we have enough books listed to start a poll. We'll start reading this book on 4 October after we've read The Magician's Nephew and The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. We'll keep this poll open until the end of this Book Club and announce the winner then and in the next Book Club.

Well, the votes are in and the most popular choice for October's reading is

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

It would also be good to read its sequel Charlie and the Glass Elevator at the same time so get reading and start thinking about what you'd like to discuss and perhaps what you might like to start some threads on.

So just a recap on the reading schedule:

Sept 6: To Kill a Mockingbird will finish and we'll start reading the Narnia series, starting with The Magician's Nephew and The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe

Oct 4: We'll finish the first two Narnia books and start reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Nov 1
: We'll finish Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and read the next two Narnia books, The Horse and His Boy and Prince Caspian

(please remember that in the Book Club you don't need to join or get sorted, you just start posting, and you are free to start any discussions that are relevant to the book of the month and not already covered by the threads posted. If you have an idea for a thread but you're unsure about starting it please just send a PM to Perenelle, Pyxis or me, Dreamteam, and we will happily either help you to do it or put it up for you). smile.gif
