I am not quite sure if this is the right forum but since it's about names, I'm going to give it a go. If this has been discussed before I am terribly sorry...it just struck me now reading the post about whether or not the Lovegoods hail from Ottery St. Catchpole.
Curious, I looked up Ottery St. Catchpole online and it is right next to the Otter River which "is well known for being an otter outpost." Hermione's Patronus is...an otter! Yes--we all now know that Hermione and Ron are getting together. But I was also thinking about what Brandonious said in the Your Patronus thread in the Pensieve: "the form of the patronus is more influenced by outside forces than the wizard's personality." So I think besides being a big hint that H and R were going to get together, it could also suggest that Ron will save Hermione in some way, like how Jame's animagus form is the magical manifestation of Harry's psychological defenses. -------------------- You may not like him, but you can't deny: Dumbledore's got style!
