Everyone has those moments that are so painful, that you just can't help saying, "OUCH!"
What are some of your Ouch! Moments? For me, I remember when I was younger and just learning how to ride a bike, and I made a sharp turn on it and wiped out completely. Then I looked down my leg, and blooding was oozing out of my kneecap. That's when the pain hit! Can you imagine?! Another one was when I was in 4th grade. One of my friends was saying 'bye to me, and I turned around to reciprocate. As I was turning back around, a pole was put into my line of vision. Or in other words, yes, I ran into a pole. I got a concusion from that one. SHARE!! (I need some laughs -------------------- "I know who Harry Potter is. I just don't know who the other two are. Himmie and Roland?"

I ran into a pole too. We were on a field trip somewhere, I was looking at something else and WHAM! I hit a lamp post.
One day about two years ago, my nieghbor and I were riding our bikes in the curb, and I rode into a mailbox. She was in front of me and didn't even notice. More recently, I was in takeing a shower in a hotel room, and cut myself on the vein in my ankle while shaveing. It bled for about...five hours, I'd say. My family likes to make fun of me for this one: I got off the bus one day, and didn't feel like puttting down the book I was reading. Because of this, I walked into our next door nieghbors' camper. I'm a bit accident prone, but I know a couple of people who have had worse. -------------------- Throwing canaries at your friends is not a sign of affection.

Great topic!
Its funny because only today I walked into a door because I wasn't looking properly I remember when I was younger I went on a big slide in an adventure playground and at the bottom my foot got caught in the 'protective' net and I ended up breaking my toe. And oh yeah, this one I didn't find funny....A few years ago I was varnishing my shed floor and I knocked a spade off the wall and it fell and chopped off the top part of my finger! I cant't believe how much that hurt, but thankfully it was only the top part and it was stitched back on. So yeah that last one wasn't so funny....lol but I always walk into doors and trip up so I'll think and try to post some funnier stories later... -------------------- 'i like dawwwwwlish.....'

haha ive walked into a pole many a time. Once was when i was on holiday in Blackpool and i was wearing my new shoes (i was about 9). I kept turning round and looking at my heels because they made a clip-clop noise, i felt like a grown up ha. Then i turned backround and smack! right into a pole and my lip burst... was extremely painful!
Another time which was extremely painful was about 8 years ago (i was 10 or 11) and my brother was practising fishing across the street and he was stupid enough to put a fly (the little hooks) at the end so as he was swinging it over his shoulder it caught about an inch away from my eye and luckily he didnt pull it! I had to go to hospital though and that was the painful bit! that was definately an ouch moment! -------------------- * magic * proud member of W.A.S 'Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts' |

I used to horse back ride and I ended up falling 14 times in total (yes I was counting them, and yes, it's normal when you're doing jumping, etc.).
2 of those were particular ouch moments: ~ Once I fell head first into a wall, and broke my tibia. Luckily, we have those wonderfully cute black helmets when we do horseback riding. ~ The other time, I fell and the horse's back leg brushed between my legs. And where ever you think might hurt the most, that's PRECISELY where his horseshoe was. Luckily he just brushed. A little higher and I was in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. And yeah, it hurt like hell. Worse thing was the stable's policy was that you had to get back on your horse right after falling, otherwise you would always have a fear of horses and horseback riding. And so yes, I had to go back on for a little trot. Both times. And yes, a saddle does arrive right where the horseshoe had been moments before. And yes, it did OUCH a lot! -------------------- |

There are a ton that I could share, but I'll just share one for the moment. I go skiing every year, and 2 years ago I had a bit of an accident. I was skiing down a black diamond slope at around 5pm. Now, this was bad because the sun was starting to go down making the slope icy. I was doing fine until I got to the last stretch. I was starting to go too fast cause of the ice, so I attempted to make a quick turn to slow myself down. This wasn't a good idea; I ended up losing my balance mid-turn and falling so that i was going backwards down the slope; I had to lift my head to keep it from hitting the ice. After a little while I got turned back around so that I was facing forwards and I stopped. Needless to say, that hurt! Luckily nothing was broken (don't know how that was possible). Though I had to sit there for about 5 min. before I could move without too much pain. My leg was bruised (where it had smacked the ice) for about 4 months.

I tripped getting off of the bus this morning. My flip-flop got stuck.
I have a friend who actually managed to fall up stairs, not down. I have no clue how. -------------------- "All is fair in love and war, and this is a bit of both."

There are two moments that spring to mind right now.
One, was when I was going down the stairs in the morning on my way to school, when I became a bit too distracted by the shirtless man running on the other side of the road. I was so distracted that I wasn't careful enough when reaching the bottomost step, with the result that I slipped and fell on my backside. I wasn't very graceful, either. The second event that comes to mind was when I was still learning how to sail and was not quick enough when turning 'round to return to the club, so that I was hit in the face by the boom (that's what it's called in english, right?). Anyway, I can only tell you that it wasn't pleasant. At all. |

Skiing accidents... hrm.
I was going down a GREEN trail and we veered off somewhere. It was like a miniature canyon and then I flipped over and hit my head on the ice. It's weird... you think the snow is soft, but when you fall over, your head hurts like hell. I think I got a concussion there. That was the park's fault because they changed the layout of the trail in the middle of the day and didn't warn us. The guy I was leading fell over too. I felt really bad because of that. Strangely, I could do better on a black diamond. ^_^;; When I was little, I was walking in the kitchen and all of a sudden I walked into my mom who was holding a pot of boiling water. >.O It was really painful, especially since we didn't have any ice! So we went to the doctor and he gave us some ointment and stuff. -------------------- "I am a wizard, not a baboon brandishing a stick."

Oh! I just thought of one as I was putting on my PJs (not too weird because this 'accident' left a major scar on my elbow).
About two or three summers ago (I'm leaning more towards two summers ago) I was riding my bike around the block with one of my friends. We were racing (red flag right there). And there's this small, small hill at a certain part of the block. Well, I thought I was being all cool, and went full speed down the hill, put on my front brakes, and went head-first flying over my handle bars. And like I said, now there is a major scar there. *edited for slight modifications* This post has been edited by MonieLou: May 2 2006, 07:09 PM -------------------- "I know who Harry Potter is.
