© Roman Sock Supplies A small amount of wool yarn in at least two colors 17 mm safety eyes E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook Polyfil Yarn needle Instructions Base Make a crochet circle the size of the base you would like. The example is around 1.77 inches (4.50 cm) in diameter. Body Continue crocheting in the round, without increasing, so you make a type of bucket. Do this until it is as tall as the base circle diameter, so that the base diameter is the same height as the owl. Stuff and fix eyes. Sew up top of head. Stitch several times in each ear, so that the ears stick up and the body becomes rounded. Using the contrasting color, crochet into the body from one ear to the next. Keep the same amount of stitches by using a turning chain until the end of the top of the head is reached. Decrease stitches by not using a turning chain until you have just one stitch left. Finish off. This post has been edited by hardhat_cat: Jul 31 2008, 11:32 PM -------------------- Jenn |

Thread a needle onto the end of yarn.
Thread through the body of the owl and secure. Weave in all ends. Final Product Credit Roman Sock's tutorial was taken with permission from littlegreen.typepad.com. Please note that the patterns and tutorials you find here have been designed by Harry Potter fans all over the Internet. The authors alone hold the copyrights and licenses to these patterns and tutorials, which means you CANNOT use their patterns to make something that you will sell to others afterward. You can use them to make things for yourself. You can make some for your friends and ask them to pay for supplies. You CANNOT, however, ask them to pay you to do it as though you had created this pattern by yourself, or try to sell you crafts to a local store. Think about it. Would you take a Prisoner of Azkaban book, photocopy it, put your name in big red letters on the front cover and try to sell it in your local library? The answer is, obviously, no. Well, selling crafts you have made but not designed would be just as bad! Please note that posting a picture of a finished object on Leaky Lounge will be taken as permission for the photo to be included in the Harry Potter Crafts gallery. If you do NOT wish your photos to be included in this gallery, please PM a Crafty Witch at the time of posting. Also note that the tutorials, recipes and patterns found here have not been tested and that The Leaky Cauldron's Harry Potter Crafts section is not responsible for any mistakes they may contain. If you do find something wrong in one of them, however, please e-mail us to let us know. On that note, Harry crafting to all!
