I always thought that Draco Malfoy was likely to end up with Pansy Parkinson...

But in 19 years later Draco Malfoy and Asteria Greengrass follows their first son (Scorpius) to the Hogwarts Express...

What are your theories on this matter... ?
What did Pansy Parkinson do after Hogwarts....?
Did Draco Malfoy change?

Mmm... She probably liked his money, and his social status. I guess she stuck with him in HBP because she thought that his family would come back, and when they did she was going to be the daughter-in-law to be.

The Malfoys are, above all, survivors. After the war, their biggest concern was to do whatever it took to adjust living in a post-Voldemort world and to regain their influence and good name.

Pansy was always an undiplomatic loud-mouth all the way up to the end of the book and probably didn't understand the need to change her tune if she was to fit into life after Voldy.

I'm sure Draco, influenced by Lucius and Narcissa, realized that Pansy would be a liability to him in reaching that goal, thus dropped her. The Greengrasses were just as pureblooded, but had the good breeding that Pansy so obviously lacked.

I can see Pansy ending up married to Goyle, actually.

OMG! That would be so great. I can just see them, living in moderate poverty, with Pansy totally controlling Goyle.

I think that Draco realized that to survive, this time they were really going to have to change. He is a smart guy, and I think that he knew that this time, purebloodism was going out in popularity big time. Anti-pureblood people where coming into power, and they where there to stay. So he did what Malfoys do best: he adapted. However, it is my belief, that this time he really did change.

That just made me laugh! Honestly, I can see her married to him, also. And come to think on it, it would serve her right, too. Bring her down a few notches. But, poor Goyle...henpecked by Pansy...how terrible for him, though. blink.gif darkmark.gif

I'd like to think that Draco dumped her because he became tired of her social climbing obnoxious ways. My take on Draco after DH is that he had seen the error of his ways and learned from his family's humiliations. I would like think he grew up and chose a quieter life with someone much nicer than Pansy. I get that feeling because of Harry's knod of the head towards Draco at the train station in the Epilogue - at anytime in the series Harry would have never acknowledged Draco in such a way.

And yes I'm sure Pansy ended up with a Goyle - deservedly so. OMG - think what their kids would be like!

For the first time ever, I actually feel sorry for Goyle. He will be totally lost without Crabbe, and now Pansy will be bossing him around.

I don't think Draco was interested in Pansy at any time. He acted like she was just there for his amusement, e.g. on the train in HBP. Not a good start for a partnership.

And, of course, JKR doesn't like her.

I agree. He might have seen her as useful, and for his amusing, but not seriously. I am starting to doubt that he saw her useful though. I my experience, girls see guys as useful, but guys don't see girls as useful.

I think Draco was never interested in her in the first place. He just like the attention she gave him. He didn't seem to concerned with her, more concerned for his mission. (i would be to, cant say i would like to die if I faild)
