Um, no. He thinks I'm a bit freakish about it, but he is currently re-reading the books himself

Im actually not that bad, i really like the books, but seeing as how i want to be suprised by what happens in the new book i dont really theorise or anything with my husband. We did find potter puppet pals together though- and he thinks they're great! He'll probably go see the film with me.

My boyfriends likes HP, he has read all the books and he saw all the movies, but he's not really a fan. But he's kind enough to come with me to the midnight releases - this year he's even travelling to London (we live in Paris), to queue with me for 7 hours or more! He's really really understanding.
His job is to make special effects, and he worked on GoF - for example, Sirius' head in the fire, that's his work! I was hysterical when I saw his name on IMDB for GoF (not in the end credits of the movie though - they don't have enough room for all the names), but he was just like "yeah, it's nice". My husband thought for years that I was just fine except for this strange obsession with a particular series of children's books. My family - parents and sister - tried to read the books and didn't like them, just couldn't get into them at all. My husband flatly refused to waste his time reading them, until I finally worked out a deal with him that involved me reading a chapter a day aloud to him.
That was in March, and we've just finished HBP. He admits the books are much better than he thought they would be, but still doesn't share my love for them or participate in any of the celebrations with me (book releases, movie premieres, anything related). I'm very much on my own here, but at least now he knows what Horcruxes are, even if he doesn't care much. That's the best I can do for now. |

Nah! I got my husband hooked right after I finished the first book and now he's obsessed as I am. When we go out to eat, we always end up talking about theories and things. I'm sure the waiters think we're nuts. Also, last weekend I bought myself a Ravenclaw keychain (go Ravenclaw!) and my husband was so upset that I didn't get him a Gryffendor (i can't spell) one that I'll have to go get it this weekend!

Nah! It doesn't bother him. He isn't into HP, but he doesn't mind that I am. I put up with his Star Trek obsession so that makes us about even.

My girlfriend doesn't knows. In fact, I don't think she'd care either way. Tonight we were walking towards the cinema, and we passed this library, so I pointed at a Deathly Hallows poster and said, "I'd so love to have that book", she said "which one?", and I pointed at it. She said "Oh, cool", and that was our biggest HP conversation in eight months we've been together.
