O.k we know from Tonks in HBP that yuor patronus depends on a great many things for example; your emotional state, motivation etc.

What would your personal patronus be and why?

Mine, I think, would either be a tiger or any cat of some sort. As you can see in my siggy. That's my cat which, for some reason turns out in all 'funny' in photos.

So what is yours?

Well I think it depends on how you think a person's patronus form is chosen and since I believe it represents what brings you happiness , whether its by just remebering or participating wiht something I think mine would be a Labrador Retriever or a ThoroughBred horse. ( I always felt better after hugging my dog when I was upset. and when I think about my sister I think "horses"

i think mine would be a hippogriff biggrin.gif
i like horses and i like birds so it's the obvious choice ;)

And if it wasn't a hippogriff it would probably be a dolphin or some other sea creature.

I am female but mine would be a male lion--I wonder if your sex determines if your patronus appears in female or male form? The lion represents bravery, loyalty, strong-willed, courageous, but quite family oriented.

Also I have always dreamed of frolicking with lions and lionesses although I just prefer the bushy mane of the male lion. In addition, when I was growing up I remember since I was a baby, visiting the lion at our small zoo. I had a special connection with KC the lion, and I swear we could communicate with one another. When I learned to drive, I would go and visit him so I think the happiness issue does play a role. Tonk's patronus changed to a werewolf-don't mean to get all lovey dovey. Back to topic

OR I also dream of swimming with huge gray whales . Whales represent wisdom--something I strive for- as well as intuition--I live by my intuition. But that would be a little over the top to have a huge gray whale as a patronus--it might be quite powerful though but not too discrete although it might appear like a big fog rolling in.

somehow I find the thought of a whale-patronus funny, just imagine it floating after a couple of dementors...

Mine wouldn't be that scary either, I think it would be a raccoon. For some reason the word raccoon makes me laugh (the german translation, which is waschbär even more) and I think they are incredibly cute. I know this is weird, but one of the funniest things that ever happened to me was when our biology teacher showed us a picture of a cuddly raccoon which looked like one of these "WANTED" posters, asked us what it was and I raised my hand to say "it's a raccoon". I was laughing madly for the rest of the day, so probably that's a happy thought.

Oh my! There certainly are a lot of feline patronuses around here.

I'd probably be a dolphin. I like to smile a lot, and I'm probably not clever enough to be a cat.

Rowling based most of the characters' patronuses on their sign in Celtic Animal Birth Signs and some don't even have their own sign, but have one of the representative animals (not astrology, that corresponds with the the the type of wood that the wands are made of because Celtic Astrology signs are types of trees)
I, being a Pisces, might have seal patronus. I feel no connection with the seal (I just can't see a seal hoping about getting rid of dementors for me), but I do like the idea of having and animal that has something to do with water. I'd want something i bit more intimidating than a seal, lol.

But for the record...cats are my favorite animal

Ok well first of all, harry's patronus is a stag. But he was born in July. So technicly, if you wanted to go by that list thing, his would be a cat or an otter (i'm really ashamed that i can't remember when his birthday is!)

mine would have to be a flamingo. even though when they're a patronus they're all silvery, in real life, they are pink (my favorite color!) and also, they can fly, like the dementors, so if they started to fly away, the flamingo could fly too and go get them. oh, and i just think they're cool.

Well, I have very strong and sensitive sense of smell. Think my patronous would either be a bear, a wolf or a raven. It depands on what emotions or feelings I have at the moment of conjuring my patronous wolf.gif eagle.gif
