I have a sad story to tell:
Last fall I went to a friend's birthday party. One of the movies we decided to watch was The Phantom of the Opera. Being the only guy there, I decided "what the heck" and didn't object. We only got to watch the first fifteen minutes, but those moments grabbed my attention significantly. I needed to borrow it and watch it without my friends trying to get as high as Christine in the main theme. Fast forward 1.5 weeks: I came home from school early because I was feeling sick. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to watch The Phantom of the Opera. Two hours later I was completely in love. The music in this movie is undescribable, it has such emotion, and the lyrics are amazing. The vocal talents of Emmy Rossum, Gerard Butler, and Patrick Wilson are in my mind incredible. From slow, enchanting songs like "The Music of the Night" to fast, intense pieces like "Down Once More", I could listen to the music for hours on end without getting bored. (And in fact I do.) Now I have seen the movie close to 10 times, listened to the complete soundtrack countless times, but have a big problem. I haven't found any other members of the male species who like this masterpiece as much as I do! Let us discuss this wonderful movie, or feel free to compare it with the broadway show. So TLC readers, I ask of you: Who here likes The Phantom of the Opera?. Come support me in my addiction and love. Thank you. Let us discuss this wonderful movie, or feel free to compare it with the broadway show. Have fun! -------------------- I really can't think of anything clever to put here, so you'll have to put up with a joke.
