Today I heard about DH having been leaked. I'm thankfully unspoiled so far. As of today I'm trying to stay away from the internet, and will not be watching any TV or listening to radio.

Despite all that, I don't feel safe. I have coworkers who don't understand or cherish this event, and are likely to read the spoilers just out of curiosity. I'm worried that I'll be walking down the hall, or in the lunchroom and people will be having an innocent conversation and I'll overhear.

As I sat this morning experiencing withdrawl from my precious sportsblogs, who I know would spoil in a heartbeat, I realized that there is one place I know is safe from spoilers. I realized there is one place that I could comfortably go and be worry free.

That place is Leaky. There's no way a spoiler would creep onto the main site, and the forum is so well modded that the membership need not worry. Unfortunately, that means there are probably staff here that have already been spoiled. It's a huge sacrifice, and a noble one. I for one am glad to have a place where I can feel safe from spoilers in these last few critical days.

I'm extremely grateful to all the Leaky staff for ensuring that no spoilers end up on here. Leaky is the only place on the net that I feel safe to go on, because I know I won't have any nasty surprises.

So thank you to every single Leaky staff member! flowers.gif clap.gif

I am actually guarding myself from any chance of a spoiler by staying away from both the internet and the TV until I finish the book. Which might take a while, unless I try to do an all nighter and finish it the day I get it.

but GO LEAKY!

I am already having to practice the look away quickly approach on various sites that have taken the spoiler thing to the next level. The non-torrent sites, are taking things to the next level further putting spoilers on their homepages. This site (along with other fan sites) probably is the only true safe place on the net.

I'm really surprised at such a good security. We're having spoilers left, right and center everywhere but here, so I'm not gonna leave the cozy Leaky until next week.

I completley agree. I only feel completley safe on The Lounge, or on the main site. The other day, I was surfing the web, and on one site, at the top of the page was a (possible) spoiler written in size 42 font, and bright red coloring with a picture of an open book. I was (and slightly still am) rather distraught, but I still think that it was just a clever photoshopping job, and it just makes me even more greatful towards the Leaky Staff. I love you guys. wub.gif

I agree with all of you. I know that, at the very least Sue has possibly been spoiled (as per her blog). There was a while there where I would have looked at ANYTHING having to do with the book, but that was before I found out (as time ticked away) that Jo wasn't even giving us chapter titles for this one. Now, I can't wait for that magical moment when I open my copy and I absolutely don't want to find out anything until I get that book. Personally, I am avoiding all sites except for Leaky and Barnes & Noble (to check my shipping status). I am so grateful to the staff here for keeping us all safe and spoiler-free-- they are really taking one for the team on this one. notworthy.gif

THANK YOU LEAKY!!!!! SENDING YOU HUGS, BROWNIES, AND BUTTERBEER!!!!

Kudos to the mods. flowers.gif

It's just about everywhere except here. I'm having to really restrain myself now. I admit I did look at the chapter titles in a weak moment, but that was all I looked at and I ended up with more questions than spoilers there thankfully. (but I still don't recommend looking at them)

It's getting really hard to wait now. My brain is so filled with HP its hard to focus on anything else. LOL.

I'm avoiding office spoilers by volunteering to transcribe some old backlogged stuff so I've got the earphones on all day, and I'll just eat lunch at my desk.

I'll be soo glad when my book arrives. It feels like time has really slowed down this week.

Well I'm glad that I have the Leaky Lounge to go to and I know that in NO WAY will anything from DH be spoke of. After all I think that the mods (yes, you all reading this) are fabulous.

I hope that anyone on this site that wants to talk about it (after reading the real book not these stupid spoilers that are going around), I know that Leaky will let us know if we enter this forum (or whatever) that there might be some spoilers to those that haven't finished DH... I can always count on this site to be there for me... after all I'm not wanting the ending ruined by someone that can't understand what this "last" adventure really means to real HP fans.

It's a gift that I don't want to open before the 21st...
