Emma for me, because Jane Austen never seems to lose her genius with every read. Any excuse to read her books will do for me

I voted for Emma. I nearly did it for my A Level book but when I bought it it was a choice between that and Dorian Gray, and guess what, I chose wrong!
I enjoyed reading it though, so it would be nice to eventually get round to discussing it. -------------------- ![]() "...because if there is one thing I've learned from all I've been through, it's that you only regret the things that you didn't do." Cameron Duncan |

I chose I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith. It recently clicked with me that this same author also wrote The Hundred and One Dalmations, which was my first and favorite book of any length that I read in childhood -- I would read it from start to finish then start right over again! I've not yet read another book by this author, so that would be fun. Also, I just scored a nice copy of this at a used book sale. This was my one of my favorites as a child as well, paint it Black. -------------------- "Yes, Harry, you can love," said Dumbledore..."Which, given everything that has happened to you, is a great and remarkable thing." I won't be able to be on the forum for most of July so my vote is that you wait for Emma and Hamlet, because I'd love to discuss them!

I voted Hamlet because, my dad has the book so I'll be able to read it, although the title on his book is Hamlet, the King of Denmark.
The only book on the poll that I've read is Animal Farm & I disliked it intensly -------------------- I'm 1 of the 99.99% W.L.Y.J. When I sleep I dream, and when I dream I can rise above the walls Remember Cameron Duncan Thanks Jeff! |

As we only have three weeks before the next Book Nook I'm going to close this thread and declare Emma by Jane Austen as the clear winner.
