This poll is about who would make the best mother/father but as individuals, not couples. Fantastic idea of : Priestess101  I was wondering what character traits leaky loungers found important in our Harry Potter parents. I came up with a list and I'd appreciate your thoughts.  So for fathers we have ~ 1. Neville: Kind, loving patient, loyal, fair. 2. Harry: Kind, patient, true, determined, just. 3. Ron: Laid back with a good sense of humour. 4. Percy: Strict, ambitious, intelligent. 5. George: Funny, highly motivated, charismatic. 6. Bill: Cool, kind, fair, intelligent, adventurous. For mothers we have ~ 1. Ginny: Laid back, fiesty, kind, imaginative. 2. Hermione: Straight laced, intelligent, motivated. 3. Fleur: Beautiful, ambitious, determined, proud. 4. Luna: Kooky, cool, with an alternative look on life. 5. Hannah: Sweet, loyal, supportive, determined. 6. Angelina: Sportive, brisk, loyal, motivated. --------------------  L O V E |

Who would I want for my Mom and Dad.
Any of the choices but Percy. Having George for a dad would be pretty cool, you'd get to help dad invent new stuff for the joke shop and you'd have a lot of cousins. If you were the son and named after Uncle Fred you'd have a lot to live up to though. -------------------- Work like you don't need the money

My choice for father would probably be george. Imagine the fun that would be and the joke shop your mates would never trust you LOL. For my mother I'd choose Luna. I love her alternative outlook on life. I'd imagine she would always encourage you to think outside the square(which many of us need to do) and not to worry about how others see you. I admire the way she sticks to her beliefs no matter how many people think she's looney and she's kind patient and extremely loyal and she's just a really beautiful gentle soul

I´d say Hermione and Ron, cos Hermione would be a great mom and Ron has the funnier, laid-back side, but maybe that´s cos my parents are just like them! And they´re together for so long and are amazing! But I must say, kindness it´s more caracteristic of Hermione, although Ginny is kind too, we get to see way more of Hermione´s compassion and kidness trhougout the books, this shouldn´t have been left out of her description, you just mentioned her serious side..(anyways I´m getting off topic).
George would be great, but, erm, I´d rather have him as a husband  And if I had Neville for a father, I´m sure I´d be insanely proud, like I am of my dad.

i would like Ginny as a mom because she is kind but also has a fierce side. Also i would like either Harry or George as a dad because it would be fun to have a dad like George because he is so funny but harry sounds like a nice and reassuring dad to have.

i voted for harry and luna. Harry because he's never had a family and so he'd really love them and care for them and be a really good dad, and he could tell amazing stories about what hes done!
 and Luna because she would be caring and brave and is very intelligent. but then i felt a bit bad, because ron has no votes and i think he would also be a very good dad. -------------------- You fail to recognize that it matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be!

I think out of all the Weasley boys Ron is most like his dad.
Of course he isn't muggle crazy like Arthur but from the epilogue we see that he likes to give kids the business. I wouldn't mind having any of the choices for a mom and dad except for Percy. I've always felt he was a self important pompous jerk, hopefully Kingsley has pigeoned hole him somewhere where he can't cause any problems. I chose Ron as father. But it's a tie between him and Harry, and because Ron had no votes i chose ron
Ron, is funny, caring, loyal, an auror and helps at a joke shop (also think of all the cool aunts and uncle's i'd have, and some loving grandparents too ) it'd be one great family. plus im a red-head too so i'd fit in prefectly. Harry, loyal, corageous, an auror, cool, just, and he could teach me how to be a seeker, he seemed like an excellent father from the epilogue (as did ron) aswell, so he'd be a good choice. I chose Luna for the mum, but hermione and ginny were close joined second. Luna is great. Intelligent, a bit out there, caring, open minded. I'd love her to be my fictional mum, we'd paint all the time and i'd introduce her to some great muggle music that of course she'd love because i think we are quite similar personality wise.

i say george because although he is a jokester, he mellowed out a lil bit when fred died. and i bet he was really supportive and not quite as insensitive as ron was.
i chose ginny just because i think luna is a bit too laidback. ginny knows right from wrong but knows doing "wrong" things sometime has justification. hermione is kind of uptight (even though she is my favorite!) --------------------   credit to Jeffhpfan for the avvie |
