We'd love to hear what you had to think, so we've prepared some general questions for this chat so we can all share our feelings about certain scenes from the new "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" movie! Free feel to sneak out and read this transcript later if you've not had the chance to see the movie yet smile Now <futureweasley> What was your opinion of the scenes with the Dursleys and the dementors? <nympheart> The dementors looked different <Aradragoon> i didnt like that the dementor pinned harry to the wall by choking him <futureweasley> I liked ther new dementors...they were still creepy, but in a "lepper"ish sort of way <bookworm1102> I laughed at the way dudly looked atwhen first showed up <nympheart> I didn't like the new ones as much, but the ice effect was gone, that one annoyed me <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> I jumped out of my skin <Synesthesia> darn, i liked the ice effect <futureweasley> I loved the filming of Harry and Dudders running from the park <Synesthesia> that's one of the things i like from the movie. it was brill <Aradragoon> oh when harry poked the dementor with his wand to get down.... i thought that was contradictory in a way to a dementors nature <futureweasley> that was very cool <MrMcGonagall> I was OK with this scene, although I would have liked to see more of the scene with Petunia and Vernon. <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> Duddy looked so gangsta <jberry116> I agree MrMcG <futureweasley> Gangsta Big D <nympheart> he did chocolate <futureweasley> totally, that chain killed me <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> he was clean gangsta, though <MrMcGonagall> What I couldn't believe was that Pig in a Wig could keep up with Harry. She had a great look. <Joyhawk2121> I liked Tonks too <nympheart> I'm not quite sure what I think of that <bookworm1102> I thought they needed to have Tonks in there more <nympheart> they did, bookworm <futureweasley> I pictured Grimmauld Place being in a much more run-down neighborhood <MrMcGonagall> Me to, future. <miss_danielle> Yeah, although they got in a clumsy moment of hers! <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> I liked her too - I liked how they were racing - a good homage to their discussion about brooms without wasting screentime - they did a VERY good job referenceing things from the book in subtle but meaningful ways <MrMcGonagall> A little seedier. <bookworm1102> yea I thought it would be a bigger house <futureweasley> I think the best part about Grimmauld Place was Crookshanks, and that wasn't even canon <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> yeah future! <nympheart> I would have thought they'd have tried to avoid attention on the way there <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> hehehe <MrMcGonagall> Ewwww, gross. The heads were bad enough!! <MrMcGonagall> Little toerag. <Synesthesia> I ALWYAS Picture him sounding realy hoarse <nympheart> In my mind Kreacher was a bit angrier, but I liked the way he looked <Synesthesia> and really creepy.. with a deep odd sort of voice... kind of igorish <bookworm1102> me too nymp <red> his face was kinda limpy <Synesthesia> bodies in belljars? <nympheart> we didn't get to see the portrait <red> yeah nymph. that was disappointing <bookworm1102> i thought i heard the portrait at least talk <futureweasley> the portrait was illuded to, though <futureweasley> Kreacher was NASTY! <jberry116> I thought I heard that too Bookworm <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> i have to ignore all the details that were missing, or I'll get angry - the truth is, the characters themselves were so much truer - ron wasn't goofy sidekick anymore... Arthur loved being in the Muggle world... Luna and Umbridge were great - the film's loyalty to the characters is so great that I forget all the details that are missing <bookworm1102> or maybe that was kreather <red> Arthur looked different for this movie <futureweasley> I was waiting to see Kreacher snogging a pair of pants...too bad they missed that <Synesthesia> it's good that they made the characters true to themselves <miss_danielle> lol future <jberry116> That's true Chocolate, and I just have to say I loved watching Aurther in the muggle world, it was fantastic! <MrMcGonagall> Yes, I thought they hd cut the portrait entirely. <futureweasley> true, red...his hair was a bit...oh, fluffier?! <MrMcGonagall> I was surprised to see it in there, even covered up. <red> yeah <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> my heart swelled, jberry, when he was giddy with glee getting off the escalator <nympheart> me too jberry <futureweasley> I was too, MrMcG <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> i was like "that's arthur!" <jberry116> Yeah, that was probably the best <MrMcGonagall> Sooner and I nearly died laughing at Arthur in the Tube. <futureweasley> What did you think of the Trial and the Ministry? <red> Harry's side was totally empty <nympheart> I missed Amelia Bones <futureweasley> The ministry wasn't at all like I pictured it, either <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> it was good - the tension between Dumbledore and Harry was perfect - i was crushed like Harry when Dumbledore didn't stop <tinkertime> yeah Amelia should have been in there <bookworm1102> It thought they did a great job <miss_danielle> I thought the trial was done well <red> yeah chocolate <Synesthesia> no amelia? But I pictured someone different <MrMcGonagall> Poisonously sweet. <futureweasley> horribly sweet, smug and wicked <futureweasley> she was delicious in that role <miss_danielle> She was fantastic <red> all in pink, purple velvet clothings <cbm> She did not look the part, but she had the attitude perfect <MrMcGonagall> I liked her moment with McG on the stairs. <tinkertime> how can something sooo bad be sooo goodsmile <jberry116> I liked that even the bricks in her office were pink <MrMcGonagall> Yes, hosed down with Pepto. <Synesthesia> i always here umbridge's voice sounding low anyway. ew pink <red> that was so funny, mr mcg <bookworm1102> my brother never read the books but he came out of the movie hateing her and he also only knows luna as the crazy girl <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> i can't believe she did it... i kept expecting her to overdo it, but she always knew where the line was... i couldn't STAND lockhart because he was way too over the top, even for his character. She wasn't playing a characture, she was playing it real <miss_danielle> The scene with the detention "deep down you know you deserved to be punished" creepy <Synesthesia> pink makes me dizzy and nauseated <diamonddawn> yes she did play the part very well. <cbm> I liked when Harry said he could not tell lies while she was being dragged off <MrMcGonagall> She scared me more than Voldemort. <Synesthesia> yeah, lockhard was too over the top... <futureweasley> I was a little concerned...I always saw Umbridge as very ugly..and I don't think that Imelda is ugly at all...I thought that might take away from her "evileness". Alas, it did not <red> yeah that was creepy, danielle <futureweasley> me too, MrMcG!! <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> i thought she was pretty too, future... kind of added to her evil disguise though <Synesthesia> i guess attitude is more important. i'll look foward to those parts than <cbm> She is evil <futureweasley> the BEST! "Sorry Professor, I must not tell lies." Again, not canon, but amazing! <red> loved that <miss_danielle> when she slapped Harry as well, that got a gasp all round the cinema <red> YEAH <MrMcGonagall> That was shocking <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> i was kind of sad that the line wasn't saved for Scrimgeaur and Harry's fight in HBP <cbm> My audience cheered, It was mostly fans <diamonddawn> i thought she needed something in the begining. When she was talking to all the students <MrMcGonagall> I loved how the kittens were all screeching when she was preparing to crucio Harry. <bookworm1102> i think that the only good thing about umbridge is that because of the blood quills it brought onone of my most favorite bits in the movie <Synesthesia> lol <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> those kittens! <nympheart> Umbridge stole the movie, I think I wish she had less screen time as amazing as she was <futureweasley> oh, my audience was just rambunctious...it was awesome to experience it with so many die-hard fans <miss_danielle> those cats cracked me up <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> really nymph? Luna stole it for mesmile <jberry116> I really enjoyed her "theme music" too <red> i will never look at kittens the same again <tinkertime> Luna ROCKS! <miss_danielle> my audience was good too, not all die hard fans so i wasnt expecting it <futureweasley> the soundtrack rocks <diamonddawn> I am sorry. But I thought Luna was a better actress then Umbridge <bookworm1102> the part where fred and george are comforting a younger student because of the blood quills <futureweasley> Luna was also amazing...Evanna did an amazing job <bookworm1102> agreed future <diamonddawn> i wanted more of her <red> I loved Evanna Lynch as Luna. she was perfect <Aradragoon> me too, diamond <nympheart> Evanna Lynch was everything she was anticipated to be, but it seemed like the movie was focused on Umbridge <tinkertime> Evanna was just born to play that part <cbm> I saw it at the air and space museum in chantilly VA, it is the only movie playing <futureweasley> How did you like the scenes with Luna and the thestrals? <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> i can't get over how amazing the characters were - no wonder they're bringing the director back - he did something that really brought out the realness <MrMcGonagall> I did like Evanna Lynch, and I wasn' sure I would. <cbm> Luna was great also <MrMcGonagall> That was a pleasant surprise. <red> she has just the right amount of...mystery <diamonddawn> oh they were so good. And the shoes. LOL <bookworm1102> my little brother only knows luna as the crazy girl <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> i was afraid she'd be too socially awkward to like <futureweasley> the knargles! blame the knargles for EVERYTHING!! <nympheart> I loved it, I was kind of afraid to have a lot of hope in her <red> yes, those really nice converses hanging there <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> but i fell in love with her! <MrMcGonagall> I did wonder a bit what she and Harry were doing in the forest wwhen it's forbidden. <bookworm1102> she was exactly how i pictured luna <red> thats true, Mr. McG <futureweasley> yes, MrMcG...that is ponderous <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> i loved how she was carrying raw meat in her bag! <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> ROTFL <cbm> I was unsure how they would get the attitude of luna, and I think she was great <red> that too, chocolate <chocolateisnotforbreakfast> like "wah?? oh, well, it's luna" <MrMcGonagall> The thestrals were even creepier than I imagined.
