I've just started it, about 20 minutes in, and is it just me or do Melissa and Sue seem a bit more giggly than usual?
And I was very surprised to hear the opening strains of 'My Favorite Things'! That is a classic, one of my favorite songs. Will edit and add more after I'm done listening. EDIT: I've just finished listening, and I must say that you guys rock! Those filks were awesome, and I am a humongously humongous fan of the music of Phantom of the Opera so I was extremely excited when I heard the opening strings of Phantom of the Opera!!! Kudos to everyone! And Sue, I dunno about you but i'd rather salsa than tap dance This post has been edited by FreedomStar: Oct 8 2006, 12:13 AM |

I think my favorite from this podcast would have to be Seven Horcruxes. It's from RENT, it's funny, and one of the guys has an amazing voice.
Gotta find Horcreeeeeeee! Gotta find Horcreeeeeee!! Great Filk Cast -------------------- ![]() ![]() "Severus...please..." |

QUOTE(FreedomStar @ Oct 7 2006, 09:18 PM) I am a humongously humongous fan of the music of Phantom of the Opera so I was extremely excited when I heard the opening strings of Phantom of the Opera!!! Kudos to everyone! I was just listening to the show and the moment I heard the first notes of Masquerade, I started to tear up immediately. That song busts my heart everytime I hear it. I thank HermyG for making me smile this time! These songs are so great! I thought I was a lover of musicals but apparently I need to get out more because I don't know some of these songs! I don't know about anyone else, but I'd love a complete list of who performed in each filk, because it's quite clear that it wasn't just stewiegryf involved with 'Seven Horcruxes', lol!

Great work, everyone! I particularly enjoyed ErinRae's "You've Got A Friend" (gotta love Luna!) and "Horcrux On Their Minds" by Snape 44!

QUOTE(Kelazma @ Oct 7 2006, 11:15 PM) Edit: I swear I put PotterCast in the title...lol...oh well Invision Board doesn't like to use more than one capital letter in a word - thus the lower case "c". It happens to me all the time when trying to type stuff like "WWW" or "CB" or "CoC." I was seconds away from finishing some proofing for my part of PotterCast #57. I was so sure we'd get that transcript up before PotterCast #58. Those PotterCasters are sure tricksy. |

Like always, they're all very good. I think Natalie_andrews wins the award for most adorable voice/song. Not that the others don't, but RylOraMcBeck's and Snape 44's both sounded scarily like the actual songs and certainly did them justice. A song plugging your own job on this site
I don't know what just happened, but the reading of that shout-out list was somehow made absolutely hilarious... I mean, it's a list... how can it be funny... -------------------- "It's like you get homesick for a place that doesn't exist....
