I just started listening! I'm here at work....you guys are saving me from boredom.

I need to say before I even start:

I am excited to be attending my first con at Portus, but now Leaky Con? WHAT! I must go. I've never been to Boston. I will go.

I'm a little worried. I'm getting married in October, and then we're going to be trying to get on the baby train...and what if I'm pregnant!?

And also, I noticed you'll mention the underwear washing. Ummmmmm

Do you know that there are certain shippers who alledge that this scene is an indication that Hermione has betrayed her character by loving Ron? They say she now is chained to the sink and serving her man.

Ridiculous, I know.

That was absolutely the funniest episode of PotterCast ever! I woke my husband up laughing more than once. I really enjoy the rapport between the three hosts, and I look forward to more episodes.

EruditeWitch ~ I think that Wizarding robes would make wonderful maternity wear! I traveled everywhere when I was pregnant - it's quite nice, actually - you have the perfect excuse not to carry anything smile.gif (LOVE your user name, by the way)

Yes, you can fly while you're pregnant. I did a number of business trips while preggo, and a couple of vacation trips. The last time I flew while pregnant I was about 32 weeks. As long as your doctor doesn't have a particular reason to prevent you from doing it, it should be no problem. Once you get past about 36 weeks, you probably won't want to travel, and also most airlines won't allow you to board at that point. I was quite hugely pregnant when we flew to Hawaii, though, and they didn't say a word, other than allowing me to board early and bringing me extra snacks smile.gif

SQUEEEEEEEEEE

that settles it, I'm going.

There isn't a forum to discuss LeakyCon yet, but I am on fire with questions!

I am close to getting a spot to present at Portus. I am leading a nice talk on shipping I'm called Madame Puddifoot's.

I would love to do it for LeakyCon too! How do I go about making that happen.

YAY for a new pottercast! I need to go listen, because LeakyCon is going to be amazing and I hope you all go! I hope to go as well but it's a weekend and although I will have the long weekend off, I will only be 15 years old. I just hope I can convince the 'rents.

Anyways, I am really excited to listen. *scurries off to find iTouch*

A very hilarious show. It was really great, one of the best shows in a while!

Any questions, according to leakycon.com, can be directed to leakycon@the-leaky-cauldron.org
Oh, and on events:
"2. I have a fantastic idea for a program. How can I submit a proposal?
Our call for proposals will open 2008. At that time, you will find a complete listing of guidelines and acceptable programming ideas on our Programming page. All proposals will be submitted to our vetting committee to ensure they are appropriate for the conference.'

With regards to Melissa's point about how the movie photos react and how the book photos react (before John went on a total tangent) Chamber of Secrets, the book, is a perfect thing to examine how photos react. Remember when Harry and Gilderoy posed for Colin and when Colin showed Harry the resulting photo, the photo Harry was leaving the shot. And also remember the photo of Lockhart who still had his rollers in his hair? I'm sure Lockhart didn't get his picture taken like that. So I don't beliveve that wizard photos are like some 3 second video of the event being taken. I do believe that the subjects take on a life of their own mirroring the characteristics of the subject at the time the picture was taken.
