Harry's third year at school is marred by not getting his permission note to go into Hogsmeade signed by Uncle Vernon, after Harry inflated Aunt Marge. A mysterious Prisoner who has escaped from Azkaban appears to be hunting Harry down, and so security is tightened.

Oh, yeah. I feel accomplished.
Anyways, there are many reasons for Snape to dislike James Potter. Mainly because he was constantly bullied by both James and Sirius. Another reason may be because Lily loved James more. As far as Lupin is concerned, there wasn't much dislike for Lupin as a person, but I believe Snape disliked the attention he was getting, as well as Lupin's friends and the fact that he was in charge of making the wolfsbane.
