Bottom of bag
(K5,k2tog) until 10 or so sts remain.

Break your yarn, thread the yarn tail through the remaining sts and pull tightly.

Weave in ends.

Felting
Turn your bag so that the creases are on the outside and put a small towel inside the bag.

Wash it in your washing machine at 104° F (40° C) with some more towels. The more towels the smaller and harder the bag gets.

Remove the bag from the washing machine and lay it out to dry forming it into the shape that you want it to be. To make the bag round, simply put some towels in it while it is drying.

Stenciling
When the bag is dry, enlarge the stencil to the desired size and print it out.

Using the bronze fabric paint and the stencil brush or roller, carefully stencil the bottom of the bag.

Allow to dry according to the manufacturer's directions.

Finishing
Cut a piece of cardboard the lay on the inside bottom of the bag for stability.

Using the scrap piece of fabric, glue it to the cardboard and allow it to dry.

Please note that the patterns and tutorials you find here have been designed by Harry Potter fans all over the Internet. The authors alone hold the copyrights and licenses to these patterns and tutorials, which means you CANNOT use their patterns to make something that you will sell to others afterward. You can use them to make things for yourself. You can make some for your friends and ask them to pay for supplies. You CANNOT, however, ask them to pay you to do it as though you had created this pattern by yourself, or try to sell you crafts to a local store.

Think about it. Would you take a Prisoner of Azkaban book, photocopy it, put your name in big red letters on the front cover and try to sell it in your local library? The answer is, obviously, no. Well, selling crafts you have made but not designed would be just as bad!

Please note that posting a picture of a finished object on Leaky Lounge will be taken as permission for the photo to be included in the Harry Potter Crafts gallery. If you do NOT wish your photos to be included in this gallery, please PM a Crafty Witch at the time of posting.

Also note that the tutorials, recipes and patterns found here have not been tested and that The Leaky Cauldron's Harry Potter Crafts section is not responsible for any mistakes they may contain. If you do find something wrong in one of them, however, please e-mail us to let us know.

On that note, Harry crafting to all!
