I'm not very good at paper piecing so I was wondering if any one knows of any applique patterns.

Oooo, not that I'm aware of LaurieE, sorry!

You may want to try Googling for "Applique Harry Potter Quilt Patterns", though. You never know what may pop up! wink.gif

i don't really know where else to post this on the forum, but i'd really appreciate some suggestions.

in my literature class, groups have been assigned different topics revolving around the medieval period. my group has music, festivals, and academia. we have to teach our topics to the class in an interesting way and for a visual, i would like to have a philosopher's stone. i was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on how to make a really nice-looking one or if there was already a craft involving the philosopher's stone at all.

Hi, jonestastic! In our links section are several items made by Tiffany Vincent. While there isn't a link to a tutorial for making a Sorcerer's Stone, she has recreated one and it is gorgeous! I highly suggest you check it out here, then contact her directly to see if she can maybe give you a few hints that might help!
