An earthquake?

Pass and Stow me, then I rest for a while. in the passage of their Liberty, only to be replaced by one more sentient than I

Sorry, that's incorrect; but it's a great guess!

The answer to the above by kklji: Liberty Bell?

What is bought by the yard and worn by the foot?

I rest where no one sleeps, a giant among giants, I have turned a different color than I once was, but my beauty is still there. what am I?

wow, I stumped you. the answer to my riddle is, Statue of Liberty
I seem to be feeling a bit patriotic recently, so, now the door's open.

I rest where no one sleeps(New York is refered to as "the city that never sleeps")
a giant among giants(New York is home to the largest buildings in America)
I have turned a different color than I once was(started copper, then turned green from the water.)

The letter e ?

Touching one, yet holding two,
It is a one-link chain.
Binding those who keep words true,
'Till death doth rend it twain.

What is it?

smile.gif A Wedding Ring

The tree to be kissed, and the dandiest tree,
The tree guiding ships to go forth;
The tree of the people, the unhealthiest tree,
And the tree whose wood faces north?
