LeakyCon has opened this thread to help those attending the conference to find roommates. While we have negotiated a pretty low rate, let’s face it, staying in a hotel for a weekend can be expensive, and we totally understand that people will want or need to share the monetary responsibility.
That being said, we cannot stress enough how important it is for you to be very careful when choosing a roomie or sharing a room with people you may not know very well. Those under the age of eighteen should be particularly careful, and be sure your parent or guardian has met or spoken with your prospective roommate(s) and have the details on how to keep in contact with you and/or them during the conference.
Finally, we need to make it very clear that LeakyCon is not responsible for finding you a roommate, nor can we be responsible for their behavior.

I'm definitely looking for a roommate! I'd like to get to know the person a bit beforehand though, to make sure that we won't completely clash.
I'm 21, turning 22 pretty soon. I'm pretty calm and collected, but still a huge fan. I don't really drink, but I'd still like to be part of the "adult" fun. I speak english very well, and would have no problems communicating with an american or someone british. I've studied law for a couple of years, but I'm taking some time off now, working as a pharmacy technician. I'm also a christian, though not the preachy type. I don't smoke, and I'd prefer to share with a girl (or woman).
I'm pretty shy, so I'd like to be able to hang out with my roommate during the convention, as I'll be traveling alone.

I'm looking for roommates! I'm 25, turning 26 next month, female, originally Canadian and now living in the U.S. I'm a huge Potter fan (obviously) and I'll pretty much be alone, so I'd like to room with someone who wants to hang out too. ^.^ I'm really laid back and easy going, I'm up for anything really! Along with HP, I love Avatar, His Dark Materials, Spore, and very open-minded to everything.
I haven't reserved a room just yet, so I'm willing to room in someone else's, or I can reserve it myself, no biggie either way.

Hey, guys!
I'm looking for a roommate, too. I'm 18, and from the Northern Virginia/DC Metro area. I'm an English major, with an affinity for The Office (the show), theatre, and anything that Joss Whedon has done. I'm also a Harry Potter freak, but I figured that much was obvious. :-)
I'm pretty friendly, laid-back, and approachable. I don't smoke or drink, but I'm not opposed to those who do. I will be traveling alone, so it would be awesome to meet some people to chill with.
I haven't reserved a room or anything yet, but I'm willing to book it myself or fill in the costs for an already reserved room.
I'm really open-minded, so most everything is okay with me! I'm excited for May!

Hey,
I'm a college sophomore just back from Terminus who can't wait for LeakyCon! I'm a female, non-smoker, looking to room with other non-smokers (preferably female, but I could be fine either way). I'm happy to make all the arrangements but I need to split the costs (cause $189/night is rather high). Also, I'm from a Boston suburb so if you're coming in a day early or leaving a day late I might be able to house you (I'd just need to check with my parents first ). Also, I know the city pretty well so I'm happy to help people avoid getting lost.
