LeakyCon has opened this thread to help those attending the conference to find roommates. While we have negotiated a pretty low rate, let’s face it, staying in a hotel for a weekend can be expensive, and we totally understand that people will want or need to share the monetary responsibility.
That being said, we cannot stress enough how important it is for you to be very careful when choosing a roomie or sharing a room with people you may not know very well. Those under the age of eighteen should be particularly careful, and be sure your parent or guardian has met or spoken with your prospective roommate(s) and have the details on how to keep in contact with you and/or them during the conference.
Finally, we need to make it very clear that LeakyCon is not responsible for finding you a roommate, nor can we be responsible for their behavior.
CONSTANT VIGILANCE!

So, I just booked a room at the Boston Park Plaza for the nights of May 20 - May 24 (checking out on May 25) and am looking for three roommates to help me share the costs. I am a 24 year old girl (well I'm 23 currently but by the Con I'll be older), a Gryffindor, and although I'm not a Boston native, I spent four years there during my undergraduate, so I'm comfortable with the area. I am also a huge beer geek as well as a night person, so if a bit of light drinking bothers you, or someone coming back in to the hotel at 3 am is a worry, this isn't the room for you. I'm willing to go co-ed, but no minors under 21. I've also reserved a non-smoking room, FYI. If you are interested either shoot me a PM or e-mail or AIM:

hi!!!!!! I made a post earlier in this thread but It was kinda short so here is another  I am 18, female, and from MA though I go to college in CT. I love wizard rock and potter podcasts. I don't drink or smoke, and would prefer to be with people who don't smoke, I don't care as much about the drinking but preferably people who don't drink. I am so excited to meet people cuz I do not know a lot of big fans IRL. I would prefer to be contacted through email cuz I never check this. My email is etkindy@gmail.com btw. Hello
I'm an older Harry Potter fan (34 years old) flying in from Belgium. This will be my first Harry Potter convention and my first trip to the United States.
I'll know some people already, who I met briefly in the UK.
I'm kinda shy at first contact but once I loose up, which shouldn't be difficult around HP-fans, I can be very talkative and behave like an excited teenager.
I don't smoke but enjoy the occasional drink.
I'd stay from May 19th till May 26th and I'm looking for one or more roommates to share the cost of the room.
