The Featured FanArtist for November is
slytherinfiend Combining an incredible eye for characterization and down-right scary depictions of the darker side of the Potterverse, Slytherinfiend manages to tread that fine line between humour and pathos with elan. Much of her work makes you want to smile, but it is a guilty, check-to-see-no-one-is-looking kind of smile. But, whether laughing or crying, you cannot help to be swept up in her vision of the story. ![]() Additional art by Slytherinfiend may be found at DeviantART and on her Live Journal. ![]() So take a walk on the dark side with Slytherinfiend--and you may find yourself a little enlightened! -------------------- |

CONGRATULATIONS Slytherinfiend!! She is an amazing artist and she absolutely worths being here...
I absolutely love the way she depicts the human side of Tom Riddle, I absolutely adore the scenes that depict him enduring basic human qualities, like this picture of hers, which is my favorite... Poor, guy innocently?? sleeping after intense reading of how to rule the world... Wonder what he is dreaming about?? http://tn3-2.deviantart.com/fs21/300W/f/20...therinfiend.jpg Edited by Moderator to remove hot-linked image This post has been edited by Hagiographer13: Nov 6 2007, 11:50 AM -------------------- Hell isn't so bad if you get to keep an angel with you.. |

OMG! YOU ROCK SlytherinFiend. I totaaly love your icon! You did it yourself right? I wish I could have art skills like you
-------------------- When I think of it, its like a new adventure waiting to be explored. Everything that humankind discovers or tries to figure out leaves nothing for the IMAGINATION because there are FACTS to prove you right or wrong. But the afterlife makes you wonder: what next?

It is intriguing to try and speculate about the young Tom Riddle and try to figure out where he went so badly wrong. As we've seen with DH/Young Dumbledore, the conceit of youth can be an intoxicant that is hard to refuse. -------------------- |

I really, really love the way she draws Voldemort as young Tom Riddle...especially this picture from her DeviantArt site: http://slytherinfiend.deviantart.com/art/No-Good-54174115 This post has been edited by jaimedanser: Nov 8 2007, 10:25 PM -------------------- "Time passes in moments, which, rushing by, define the path of a life just as surely as they lead towards its end. How rarely do we stop to examine that path, to see the reasons why all things happen?"

One of the most tragic moments in Deathly Hallows is when Kreacher recounts what happened in the horcrux cave with Regulus Black. Slytherinfiend captures the utter pathos of that image perfectly!
Chillng and moving in equal measure! -------------------- |

I agree, jamiedanser, that is an amazing image of Tom and Ginny. The creepy thing is that you know he is just coveting her death as a means to return to life and not for any other reason. *brrrr* -------------------- |

The one of Regulus being dragged down by the inferi in the Cave is really chilling. You can imagine the look on Kreacher's face.
I particularly like this one of the Marauders experimenting with the Marauders Map. Marauding Marauders ![]() Also this one is quite humorous. -------------------- Siggie avatar by Hagiographer13 ![]() |
