It seems to me against all of the morals that JKR is preaching to have the Slytherin house come across as pure evil. The way they all abandoned Hogwarts in the end, the way none of them resisted the new administration (in the Room of Requirement, the Slytherin banners are noticeably absent), and the way all the "bad" guys get sorted there and all the "good" guys go elsewhere (with, I suppose, the exception of Snape-- and not even a total exception, as Snape did his fair share of foul things.)
I suppose they tried to make up for it in the end, with Harry reassuring young Albus Severus Potter (snicker) that no matter where he ends up, it'll be okay with him. However, he pretty much takes it back when he adds that the boy can try and influence the Sorting Hat. Doesn't this sort of generalization and encouragement of segregation seem against the whole point of JK Rowling's message? So whadda you guys think? Slytherins, pure evil? Or is there something I have missed? (Likely -------------------- I open at the close.
