Yup, the process is speeding up. I certainly can't wait to go into Honeydukes! I was secretly hoping for Diagon Alley to be made, but Jo would have to write a lot more books read in the Wizarding World to fit into Flourish and Blotts.

I really really just want to go there, if I don't ever go there when I'm still in actual school then, I know as soon as I get out I'm going.
But I really want to see Hogwarts and Hogmeade!!! ~WR's |

I cannot wait! Anything that brings me a little closer to the world of Hogwarts has got to be worth seeing! Unfortunately i live in the UK so i can never get to any of the Harry Potter events that occur so much in America. However me and my friends have been saving up since we heard about the theme park so hopefully we'll be there when it opens.
I really hope they have a ride devoted to Quidditch. Me and some friends were talking about what rides there might be and we came up with a pretty cool idea. I dont know if anyone has been on the ride 'Air' at the Alton Towers theme park in England but basically when you get on it the seat rises up so you are almost fully horizontal and facing forward. This gives you the amazingly cool feeling that your flying. If they had something like that it would be cool and maybe incorporated a broom onto the harness or something to make it more Quidditchy. So anyway it starts off in a line going along the track through a tunnel (with dramatic adrenaline pumping drum music playing) with maybe seven other people as if your joined together and then you burst out of the end like your entering the Quidditch pitch out of the stands and suddenly everyone splits off on their own separate tracks, looping and dodging the other people with the speed and fluidity of a Quidditch match. You could even fly right through a goal hoop and it goes 'ding!' "Ten points to Gryffindor!" or something like that. Also if they incorporated the balls flying around with the track dodging and twisting round bludgers that would be really cool, and maybe one person follows the snitch which is whizzing along in front on the track. Then when it ends you can go and see the score of the match and your cheesy awkward snap shot of you grinning on a broom. We thought this was a cool idea but we don’t want to get our hopes up too much in case the rides aren't brilliant but hey if i really get to walk round Hogsmeade, drink a Butterbeer at the three broomsticks and take a stroll around Hogwarts its already going to be an amazing experience and one i hope i wont miss. |

Oooh I cannot WAIT! If I could ride anything it would be a ride simulating the Whomping Willow. I love action-packed rides a think that'd be awesome!

I can't WAIT for the theme park!!!!! My sisters and my mom and I are all HUGE Harry Potter fans and we all love Disneyland, so a Harry Potter theme park is like a dream come true! I plan to go on every single ride and buy tons of merchandise! I really hope they have some awesome thrill rides like at Six Flags, but also a lot of pretty rides like they do at Disneyland. Hopefully they'll be able to come up with some sort of Quidditch game! If anyone's ridden the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland, I think it'd be awesome if, instead of going under the big stone ball like on that ride, you'd go under a huge scary acromantula! I definitely think in one of the rides we should be able to ride in flying cars, like from the 2nd book! Like on the Peter Pan ride at Disneyland you ride in little pirate ships, well here you could ride in flying cars! Or maybe little dragons, that could be cool too. Basically I think this theme park will be the best thing since sliced bread!!!!!

I'm having visions of Potter Puppet Pals singing "It's a Small World". Aaaargh! Make them stop! OMG!!! I can imagine all of the PPP singinging that with that except for maybe Snape. lol As for a dream ride, Ive read that a few people would want a Whomping Willow ride, and I have to agree! That would be pretty fun! But on a serious side I'm not much into rides, whenever I go to amusement parks I always just walk around/play games/and eat. So I would love to walk down Diagon Alley and eat my own weight in wizard sweets! Also I'd love to see a tour of Hogwarts, go to the shops, and just see all of the attractions! Can't wait until it opens! This post has been edited by sairah: Sep 12 2009, 07:04 PM -------------------- ![]() |

I like the new designed map that Universal did of their Harry Potter Theme Park. Even though I can use the close up viewfinder on the site to see it closer - it seems that some of the Magical Charm of J.K.Rowlings Books will be retained in a very tight space - hopefully to expand more as people go on the rides and buy from the shops.
So Far Honeydukes seems the most true to the design from the Harry Potter films for shops. It's not that far away that this becomes a reality. The other shops don't look that interesting. After FAO Swartz one can be a bit jaded in viewing toy stores, or stores in general. I hope when people attend that they report back on it, and if they enjoyed the park, or saw what could be improvements. The Hippogriff ride looks a bit like a 5 year old would enjoy it, and not an adult. I get the idea that the Dragon Challenge might just be a live show with actors on a stage. The Hogwart's Castle does look a bit enchanted - hopefully with some moving starecases and pictures on the wall that seem to talk to each other. I won't be there when it opens, but more watching what people make as Youtube or other videos of them going on the rides. I do hope they are successful on a scale they would open other areas of the park to renovations to expand Harry Potter's world - hopefully including or evaluationing some of the posts on this site. |

I know I'm not the only person who's flipping out right now. I'm actually going quite insane.
About the Dragon Challenge, it says in the video that it's a roller coaster, and you can ride either the Chinese Fireball or the Hungarian Horntail. I bet the Horntail will be the most popular since it's the dragon Harry faced. I'm honestly going nuts. I need to go. I'd love to go the opening if I could, or to Infinitus. I was going to go on a school trip to London, Paris, and Madrid over spring break, but that didn't work out. I'd rather go to Florida right now, and it would be much less expensive. It would just be a matter of getting there, and not alone. I want to live in that theme park. I'll hide in a secret passageway of the castle! I'd be so tempted to find a one-eyed witch statue and see if I could get to Honeydukes and avoid the crowd. =P -------------------- |

I'm so excited!!! I can't wait. I hope to be there opening day. I go to Disney and Universal/IOA about 4-5 times a year, and I'm looking forward to spending time in this park on each trip.
