As filming has now begun for the sixth film, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, images taken by fans and paparazzi and such will start to be available.
We have some early images from filming in Lacock, as noted on Leaky Main. No--it is NOT Hagrid's Hut!
Additional filming is slated to be taking place shortly in Gloucester Cathedral, and as soon as we have more images we will post them up! This post has been edited by Hagiographer13: Nov 12 2007, 06:48 PM -------------------- |

This could be the night time scenes of Spinners End - narrow old streets

Spinners End is definitely one possibility, mad-eye-melly! However, as mentioned on Leaky Main, TLC reader Andrew noticed that the street in that picture is the same street that was used for the filming of the flashback to the Potters' house in Godric's Hollow for the Sorcerer's/Philosophers' Stone movie. I'm not sure where that would fit into this movie. The winding, cobbled, narrow streets do definitely lend themselves to a Spinners End-esque scene, though!

That white building sticking out looks interesting. Reminds me of The 3 Broomsticks. Perhaps this is Hogsmeade prior to apparition to The Cave.

You know as excited as I want to be over ANY pics of the HBP movie, I can't. Its nice to see what locations we'll get glimpses at in the film, but it doesn't compare to actually seeing the actors there on set, or even better, on the film stills WB and others manage to wow us with...I know we still have a long way to go before that happens, but I'm so tired of not seeing anything new! I should be 'relaxing' from HP due to the madness of this past summer, and I have, which is why I feel the need to get back on the HP 'scene' and that usually, for the most part, involves me going crazy over new images or casting news.

I'm thinking the traditional shots of Hagrids Hut will probably show it on Fire.

There are now many more images up from the HBP filming in Lacock, England, as mentioned on Leaky Main. It seems most likely that they are filming exteriors of Budleigh Babberton, and Horace Slughorn's temporary refuge there --
Most fascinating to me is mention of prop boxes and set pieces marked CEMETARY, such as this one -- I am thinking this is mostly atmospheric. ETA: Additional information from the filming confirms that it is indeed Sluggy's "home" and that the "graveyard" items were for a War Memorial that is being erected on the set--which is totally canon! From all these reports of filming in Wiltshire, it looks to me as if WB is consolidating all the filming from the village scenes in HBP, like Budleigh Babberton, Little Hangleton (Gaunt house), and Spinner's End. They might be using different parts of Lacock for each bit, so as not to overlap. I guess it saves both money and time.
Its great that the residents of Lacock are alllowing WB to use their village for HP. Its a very beautiful village. -------------------- |

More pictures from the HBP filming in Lacock have been added to the Galleries! As reported on Leaky Main Michael Gambon and Dan Radcliffe were there filming the exterior scenes for Buddleigh Babberton and Harry and Dumbledore's meeting with Horace Slughorn.
I really like the detail that goes into these films, even if it's little bits that go by so fast we don't even notice. Such a bit of obsessive detail is this pub sign for the "Babberton Arms" -- You can find all the images from the Lacock filming, including pictures of Gambon signing autographs, here in the massive TLC Galleries. -------------------- |
