hey everyone,
After re-reading Ootp, i've been posed with a question/theory. based on what we know of slughorns memory and the room of requirement i have to believe that voldemort learned how to create a horcrux from the room of requirement. I base this theory on the sheer fact that it helps you in need. we all know that voldy loved hogwarts as much as harry and based on his intelligence and ambition he would've stumbled upon the place. during the first D.A session hermione saw some books that sounded very special that may not have been accessible anywhere else. If voldemort, knowing what he knew from slughorn set out to find out how to complete a horcrux and found the room of requirement he would learn just that. Some of you may be thinking that how or why would the room teach you that? but lets think, why would a room give you a place to hide sherry bottles, or provide you a hidden place where you can work on a project to ultimately kill Dumbledore. I believe that the room doesn't see right or wrong. the room sees need as the seeker sees fit. I'd love to hear what everyone else thinks about this. and being this late in the story, i'm sure someone has already thought of this theory, but nevertheless i've not heard of it and i'd like to hear more. it also open the conversation for how much more it help or hurt. let me know what you think. ps. Chime in you guys (unisex) and tell me what you think! -curiousblack This post has been edited by hpaddict: Aug 27 2006, 12:21 PM --------------------
