I chose Hawthorn, because that applies to my birth date, and it described my personality quite accurately!

Phoenix tail feather, because I love the idea that they are loyal, and the idea of rebirth from the ashes.

I voted for Willow, it's my birthdate and it also describes me pretty well. Willow trees are also really pretty and unique. My core would probably be a Phoenix tail feather...for the same reason as Shard biggrin.gif . Mine probably wouldn't be very long or heavy, perhaps 9 1/2 inches and flexible.

Ash and Dragon Heartstring (wishful thinking). I think the dragon heartstring suits me, and I love ash. I have a wooden karate bow made of ash, and I love its weight and its feeling. Ash is also a very powerful wood, traditionally.

Dumbledore uses a night-light. Not because Dumbledore is afraid of the dark, but because the dark is afraid of Dumbledore.

The Ive Tree.. 30 September - 27 October - The power of the Ivy to cling and bind made it a potent symbol of determination and strength. Ivy can strange trees and was a portent of death and spiritual growth. Ivy people are restless, socialble and good natured. Cheerful, expnasive and magnetic, they win friends easily and dislike offending others. Although often indecisive, they are not weak willed and tackle difficult tasks with infectious optimism.

wizard.gif My birth date wood really does fit me fairly well... better than most of the others... it's kind of creepy. I'm not sure which core. I've never liked the idea of dragon heartstring, poor dragon. How many dragons have to die just for a few wands? But besides that I'm not sure... veela hair would be different.

Jk, the book was great, but about the epilogue... don't you think it needs a few more chapters? Oooh! I have an idea!!! There could be another book (Hint, Hint)! : ) Thanks

Well, I'm a Virgo, so Vine is my wood. I think that I would also have Dragon Heartstring as my core. It is just something that I believe I identify with. I'm drawn to it...I really can't explain why. I think it's because some of the characters that I closely identify with have Dragon Heartstring as their wand core. Is there anything else that indicates to us what our "core" would be?

I haven't been able to find anything when I was looking up the cores. I think that it depends on the personality of the person maybe?

Rosewood, because it's quite soporific and I'm often very sleepy! biggrin.gif

I put "other" for the core - though there's nothing in canon to suggest it's possible (but then again, Ollivander seems quite choosy about his wand core substances) I'd like a Thestral tail-hair. I just love them ^_^
