I think it's one of the few times that a Film Studio said - hey, why don't we play a bit with the Film Studio Logo. So Each Harry Potter Film we see the same Warner Brother's Logo shape, but it has subtile changes that merges it into the first scene of the films.

My favorite is one is in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban where it's this big shiny metal floating logo hovering over the Night Sky, and you keep seeing this flash of light (and sound effect) coming from a house that lights through the Warner Brothers Logo. As you pass through the letters of the logo, you go through the window of Harry Potter's room and see he is hiding under the covers working on his Magic - studying with his wand Illuminating so he can see. It's also the combination of editing, and the soundtrack that just makes it work for me.

So, what do you think of the Warner Brother's Logos for each of the Harry Potter Films?
Have you even noticed them?

My favorite ending credit scene
is also from the same film - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It's The Marauders Map of Hogwart's. I love the calligraphy used on the map of Hogwarts, with the footprints moving everywhere, as it scrolls down with the credits. I stayed till the very end because I liked it so much. I also liked hearing the soundtrack mix at the end of the film as well!

Logo - GOF and OotP are joint first because of their creepy/darkness combined with the music on both of them.

End credits - POA without a doubt because of the walking (and jumping) foot-and-paw-prints! I can watch them right to the end just for that.

Logo- I just love the opening sequence in CoS. It really shouts out 'it's back!! sequel!' to me, and it just gives me a great feel.

End credits- First two films, black, white, good music, classic, love it!

Logo - OOTP for me, it's just hearing Hedwig's Theme then, seeing the sun and being transmitted to the playground near Privet Drive is made of awesome.

End Credits - I love the first two movies just the plain black background and white text and hearing the music. But, I also love OOTP because the music they picked to end it was Dumbledore's Army, and the proclamation background was awesome.

Logo--I'd have to say Order of the Phoenix.

End Credits--I'm not sure, I really like the "Mischief Managed" at the very end of PoA.

Here's a thought, and I'm sure this won't happen but it'd be awesome if it did--HBP needs to start with a logo/title sequence with green mist to signify the cave scene. I think this fits because, arguably, the OoTP intro was smoky, similar to the inside of a prophecy globe....

Thats a good thought. What about the blue pensieve memories being used as the end credits? Seeing as the pensieve plays a major part during HBP. The names of cast and crew could be drawn out of a pensieve like thread for part of the credits.

The best looking beginning IMO was for GoF. I like the dark metallic feel to the WB logo and the music makes it real creepy. I also liked how it cuts to Frank Bryce having a sleepless night and going into a tizzy when he sees the light turn on in the Riddle house.

I agree with you about the PoA end credits. I think PoA set a precedent in terms of the HP film credits which the following two films have tried to emulate, with the falling Goblet of Fire papers in GoF, and the Daily Prophet newspaper style in OoTP.

Yes! I love the themes created for the title sequences with the WB logo. The WB shield from OotP was brilliant, I think the tone and texture of the design was really great but I would choose the CoS one as my favourite. Although it is basically just the typical logo imposed on a cloudy skyscape but the colours and and lighting really appeal to me.

The PoA credits would have to be my favourite. I love moony_lupin
's idea for the HBP credits, I wished they had given greater detail to the credits of the most recent two films as with the marauder's map one. Admitedly I usually stay to the end of movie credits anyway because I like to look at the companies that worked on the special effects and the songs used etc. but for PoA I wasn't the last person left sitting! Everyone was mesmerised by them.

I really like the OOTP shield thingy for the WB logo, i think its really dark and intirguing.
For the credits i think POA, i love the way they did all the little moving foot steps, it was very clever.
Moony_lupin i love your idea for the end credits, i would never have thought of that smile.gif

Excellent topic,Helyx!
My favourite beginning from GoF,also I adore PoA.OotP was very good too,but horror-film style from GoF is my favourite.
Brilliant endings has CoS-Lockhart was one of the most hillarious scene.
Also I absolutely enjoy "mishief managed" fpom PoA.It was briliant idea of its creators.

Oh hell yes!! I love that one! biggrin.gif The way it just gets bigger and bigger while Harry's bedroom lights up and off. And I love how they use this really really low bass that makes this quite thundering noise and gets louder as the logo gets nearer. Man talk about atmospheric. It's so good. As for the actual logo, I liked the look of the Order of the Phoenix one best. It's got this dark "stony" look and it makes it so sinister. So awesome.

As for the credits...I likd Goblet of Fire's better. The way it just shoots out of the goblet. Pretty darn cool!
