Hey guys, as I was speculating on who I thought the next WotM might be, it dawned on me that we really don't have a thread dedicated to this discussion, so I thought I would create one.

Happy posting!

After seeing Dumbledore as this wizard of the month, I am almost positive that Snape is going to be the next one, and then The Trio... Up Until the year ends...

I think that snape would be fitting for the Next ones....

So Snape's dob-dod would be 1960-1998.

Someone could write an obituary. snape.gif

So here's my new nominations:

October 2007 : Severus Snape, 1960-1998

November 2007: Harry James Potter, 1980-Present harry.gif

December 2007: Hermione Jean Granger, 1979-Present hermione.gif

January 2008: Ronald Bilius Weasley, 1980-Present ron.gif

I love Snape, I hope it's Snape. James would be cool, we know so little about him.

Hi,

I have a question, er. Dumbledore's death year for the wizard of the month is listed as 1996, but that can't be right can it? I thought it was 1997?

Okay this is a very minor detail but this months wizard of the month on JKR's site is Albus Dumbledore and it says the year he died is 1996. I thought the year would be more like 1997...well, it's minor I suppose but it's just a little confusing doing Harry's timeline as he was born in 1980

July 1980-Born
July 81- Age 1
July 82- Age 2
July 83- Age 3
July 84- Age 4
July 85- Age 5
July 86- Age 6
July 87- Age 7
July 88- Age 8
July 89- Age 9
July 90- Age 10
July 91-Age 11
Sept 91- June 92 1st year
July 92- Age 12
Sept 92-June 93 2nd year
July 93- Age 13
Sept 93- June 94 3rd year
July 94 - Age 14
Sept 94-June 95 4th year
July 95- Age 15
Sept 95-June 96 5th year
July 96- Age 16
Seupt 96- June 97 6th year
Dumbledore Dies at end of 6th year, right?
Okay so where am I wrong here?
hummm...was Harry not born in 1980 now?

I was pleased to see Dumbledore- I wish he had the movie's Elder Wand though- that would be a pretty cool effect. For all of the other Wizards of the Months she's ever had on her site, they've moved, blinked, swished, curved, winked, swallowed, bounced, and so on. What effect does Dumbledore have? smile.gif

You are right, Rowling messed up the math. She said in interviews that Dumbledore was 150 but she must have meant 115 cause that doesn't add up either.

You are right, Rowling messed up the math. She said in interviews that Dumbledore was 150 but she must have meant 115 cause that doesn't add up either.

And we know for sure that Harry was born in 1980 because James and Lily are dead in 1981 and it's clearly said that Harry was one when his parents died. So Dumbledore was born in 1881 but died in 1997
