Wizarding World Environmentalism - does it exist? On the one hand, we have quite a bit of evidence through the books that the wizarding world has to have a smaller "carbon footprint" than the Muggle one. After all, they don't use eckeltricity, and you have to assume that "evanesco" is much less taxing on the average landfill than filling up a Muggle bin. On the other hand, we do see Harry putting trash in a bin at Grimmauld Place and Ron referring to putting his tea leaves in one even if they spell "Die Ron Die." So... is the wizarding world environmentally friendly? What evidence do you see in the books that helps you come to your conclusion? Happy posting! -------------------- |
