Bob Ogden really made a great impression on me in his behavior in the midst of the Gaunt family. It must have been very difficult for him to maintain his composure. He is an example of one of the few people to be admired in the MoM.
Cormac McClaggen annoyed me more than anyone else. He came close to ruining the Gryffindor Quidditch team. Harry seemed to grasp each lesson that he was to learn. Although the timing of his getting Slughorn's memory was poor, the events surrounding his getting it were wonderful. In the end, the timing was great. He did obey Dumbledore and feed him the poisoned liquid in the basin that contained the locket. He also was able to get himself and the Headmaster back to Hogsmeade and then to Hogwarts. He has become a man in a very short time. As for Dumbledore and Snape, they are in a class by themselves. They had made a bargain, and both kept their promise to the other.Unfortunately, we don't learn of their agreement until the end of DH. It seems as though Snape killed Dumbledore only because of his vow to Narcissa. Narcissa gets my vote for impressive new character. She will do whatever it takes to protect her son. It took a strong determination for her to go against Bellatrix. -------------------- |
