Hi there!

I'm new to these forums. I was googling 'Harry Potter and To Kill A Mockingbird' when I came across the group. I thought I'd come up with a really novel idea when I decided to compare Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire with TKAMB but apparently not!

Do you think GOF is the right HP book to compare TKAMB with?

Thanks biggrin.gif

welcome.gif kristypotter!!

It's always good to see new people joining in.

I hadn't thought about the comparison. Can you present a view points of similarity (characters, images, events...)?

Welcome KirstyPotter, Welcome!

And yes, I was also wondering about Cedric Diggory as perhaps a combination of Jem and Scout, and yes of Tom Robinson. Cedric was on the right track; though Mr. Diggory might have had some run-in with Barty Crouch, Jr., now that I think of it. Cedric wasn't meant to be the target, but he was in the wrong place at the wrong time (though Barty Jr. didn't seem to care). Veelas in TKAM?? Durmstrang??

Great thread!
